COVID-19
My wife and I got our shots today, actually on pit row in Darlington Raceway. Very well-run event, in and out in about 25 minutes. Neck was a little sore closest to the shoulder where I got the shot, but good to go for now. Back on April 1, same time, same location.
I do not crave brains, so it's all good.

Didn't you say you were a big guy, bmi > 30?Supposed to be opening up more heinz field slots here for 3/8 and 3/9. But they're not saying what time they're opening up appointments.

Injection site is sore today, for both of us. I don’t get a lot of shots, but that’s a new issue for me.

No problem with the Pfizer dose 1 for me. Injection site pain mostly gone 16 hrs later, no side effects. Hopefully that bodes well for the second one.

Yeah my arm was sore to touch and/or lift for about 24 hours. Now I can only feel it if I touch the Injection site. Flu shot actually hurt more this year but resolved quicker (8 hrs)

Second dose of Pfizer in my arm. I'm convinced the arm pain comes from the injecting nurse. This woman wound up to stick me. The other did it nice and slow
Got some good news about grandma today too, lost 8 lbs since Thursday so the diuretics are working. But she still has Afib and likely will forever, and her BNP levels are still critical. But she's sitting bedside now and walking to the bathroom on her own.
Made me chuckle talking to her yesterday about how she gagged on her pills they gave her. Woman is 90 and doesn't know how to take medicine because.. Well she never had to

I know someone always says this, but it really does matter on the skills of the nurse when it comes to injections. It felt like the nurse for my first dose was digging around looking for a musket ball lodged in my arm. I didn’t feel a thing with the second dose.

There may have been some psychological thing going on too. Second nurse was a full figured older black woman that was loud and very charismatic. She complimented how nice my skin was. “Mm mm baby your got nice skin for a man. Whatchu use to moistures it? I gotta get me some for my man. He be all ashy. Not you though.” Then she stuck me. I asked her for her phone number so I could call her every morning and have her boost my confidence.
