Apparently teachers are moving to phase 1a in PA.

Interesting strategy... rather than advance to another phase just keep expanding the current phase until everyone's done!

Seems like a smart move to me. Teachers should have already been prioritized, considering some of the folks who have already been vaccinated did not move the ball forward.

As far as I can tell, prioritizing nursing homes has had massive positive impact. But the 65+ thing has been a waste, spending months getting retirees vaccinated has stalled the process.

Yup. This is the absolute right move. Vaccinate and open back up. Where did you see this btw? Found it: https://www.wpxi.com/news/top-stories/p ... 33EE3SODM/

Of course it's a good move, it's just funny that they just keep expanding the first phase.

The caveat is kinda horsesht though. My wife has been in the classroom all year as it is.

having a "1a", "1b", etc. is bullshit anyway. Just do it 1, 2, 3, etc. stop acting like everyone is the favorite child

Is there a single website that pulls all of the various pharmacies providing vaccinations? Holy **** having to go to like 5-6 different websites to check availability is obnoxious.

Can't imagine what it'd be like to have little computer/internet skills.

Theyre just doing it this way to avoid the outrage about moving to the next phase when not everyone in the previous phase got it yet.

It's 100% effective against severe symptoms and death. What isn't known is how it does at preventing the long haul symptoms that you've been experiencing. But I agree, selfishly, I wouldn't want J&J. Give me that good ****.

I've heard J&J would be good for people who recently had COVID, because it would effectively be a "2nd shot" booster for the antibodies created by the infection.

Can you mix and match vaccines? Give me a J&J first and then some of that sweet Pfizer as dessert

I'd feel a lot better about J&J if they could prove that it protects against the long term effects.

If you're hired to manage my team, you'll be given the choice of either Moderna or Pfizer.
