I'll buy "gotta live life" to some extent but Indoor Water Park seems like a really crappy idea right now.

Likely something local yokels won't enforce around New Year's Eve parties.

Our school district postponed hybrid schooling through 1/10; they did something similar around Thanksgiving. I’m glad, because it takes some of the risk out of sending the kids to school.

Indoor water park sounds like a crappy idea anytime. I just would think about all the urine I’m wading in

True, but I love massive water slides. That was one of the only good things about Myrtle Beach.

Wisconsin is full of indoor water parks, which I always thought was really strange.

One thing I've noticed since mid/late October... no one in here trying to dunk on Europe anymore:

Probably because outdoor water parks would be able to operate for 6 days a year.

I lived in a town that had a very expensive outdoor municiple water park, despite being a town of only about 9,500 people. Can confirm.

Cheese curds, water parks, and Epic. That’s Wisconsin, apparently.

Preventable.
Not included in that article was the fact that he held multiple mask-less rallies and pushed to reopen everything quickly.
Turns out I know multiple people that know him personally.

But again, the ghouls can come out and hate on dead people on the other team.

I keep forgetting that the only people who die from covid are the unwashed Trumpers who don't "follow the rules".

Good thing they die, cleans the gene pool huh?

You post ITT every single time a Dem goes against the rules and you expect us to take your "wrong team" stuff seriously here?

As others have noted, his death can be sad but preventable at the same time, and it would've been preventable had he not hitched his wagon to the Trump train and consistently ignored best practices in a pandemic.
It's the hypocrisy of the constant high-sounding arrogance of do as I say, not as I do that gets pointed out. It's similar to evangelical morons that claim the importance of monogamy who go and philander with gay prostititues.

If these politicians actually think this is so dangerous that the proles have to shut themselves down, why don't they actually live like it?

Btw, looks like his death is on medical incompetence, which is itself one of the largest causes of preventable death yearly in the U.S.
Louisiana Rep.-elect Luke Letlow, who died while battling COVID-19, suffered a heart attack following a procedure, a hospital official said.

The 41-year-old was receiving treatment in the intensive care unit at Ochsner LSU Health in Shreveport when he died Tuesday, the Monroe News-Star reported.

LSU Health Shreveport Chancellor G.E. Ghali confirmed Letlow underwent an operation related to the virus and later went into cardiac arrest.

So the U.S. high still isn't as high as the European one which spiked about a month before here?

The virus is going to virus and Western Europe and the United States have followed very similar patterns of rising cases and falling cases with various governments taking different tracks on combating the virus, just like in the United States.

Some have done a better job than others, some have done a worse job than others.

Pretty surprising, really. Seems like the restrictions are working to slow the spread. That should spike back up following the holidays and a reopening. At the same time, you can’t keep these businesses closed unless there is some sort of state or federal aid.
