COVID-19

Postby NTP66 » Tue Dec 22, 2020 11:08 am

We're receiving our first shipment of the Moderna vaccine this week, apparently one of the first recipients in the country. There's a note about it in our e-mail stating that the Moderna recipients reported more side effects for the first 1-2 days following vaccination.

let me guess: it started in the Norwegian camp and soon it's going to spread to the American camp and then Kurt Russell is going to kill everyone

COVID-19

We have seen my in-laws a few times since COVID started. They live in New York but have been fully isolated just like we have been. They are getting here on Wednesday and staying through the weekend.

My sister-in-law (who is a giant pain in the ass) told my wife that her and her husband would come if we would all agree to wear masks the whole time. Bear in mind, this is a very small group, it's not like we are having a huge get-together. My wife told her she would meet them to give them their presents. Sorry, I wear masks everywhere but I am not wearing one on Christmas morning.

I think the real reason she asked that is because she's a miser and doesn't feel like coming.

Governor McMaster and his wife tested positive.
The governor kept a full schedule over the past week, attending multiple events that included a White House Christmas party on Dec. 14. The governor’s spokesman Brian Symmes told The State last week McMaster wore a face mask when necessary and when social distancing was not possible.

Pretty sure I know more people in this past week that have gotten the vaccine than I knew all of the pandemic that got tested and confirmed to have the virus... that's good news.

I said the exact same yesterday. I didn't know anyone that had the virus until like 5 months in and I already know a least a dozen who were vaccinated. Makes me optimistic that this is going to turn around faster than they predict.

Have we heard from @Trip McNeely today or did he get caught by a silver bullet last night trying to steal some chickens or a baby or something?

Just got a company communication that we are staying full WFH till at least April 15th right now. Whenever we finally get back it will be over a year since we left the office.

We are going back at some point cause of the money my company just used to build a brand new building in Shadyside. Too much money spent to not use the building.

I remember the day we were going WFH in March. It was supposed to be 2 weeks. To you point, it will probably be one year by the time I get back full time.

Ours was just a random WFH until we figure this out. Now everyone is paranoid about even stepping foot back in the office.

Same here. Other than going in on weekends to water my plants, I haven't been in my office to do work since March, and I don't see that changing any time soon.
