COVID-19
Funny enough, she convinced millions that vaccines give you autism, and then turned around and said she doesn't believe it anymore and no one listened to flip with her. Not really funny, but... funny.Sorry. Will somebody please just tell me what Jenny McCarthy has to say about all this?

Autism is the white upper class Mother worry.Whatever happened to autism? Have we moved onto microchips exclusively?
Microchips are the Trump-voter worry.

Its the biggest bar night of the year. Seems like a wise move to me. Now get some money to the people who lose that revenue.

The pandemic has made me rethink the value proposition of going out to eat and drink. What is the point is going to be bar and paying a high markup for a hit and miss beer list at a markup? Craft beer is everywhere now in cans or bottles.

This is not a "get alcohol" thing Frederick. This is specifically at bars or restaurants the night before Thanksgiving, which is a major major bar night (and one of my favorites).

I know that King.
The point is to act like this is going to have any material effect on anything other than continuing to hurt local businesses is just to further Ralph Wigguming "I'm helping and I care" the response.

To my mind, 'anti-vaxxer' is a loaded term that implies belief in outright falsehoods about vaccines, and there is often a degree of vocal proselytizing on the subject that perpetuates those falsehoods. It is the latter that gives anti-vaxxers a deserved bad name imo.I wouldn't consider myself one. But I do see people (not necessarily in this thread, mind you) equate anyone that doesn't get the vaccine an anti-vaxxer. I've heard I should stay home, have my insurance rates jacked up, etc. etc. This (the pandemic) hasn't been a fun time for me, and I have had to go into the office (fairly frequently). I weigh the risks and factor in the need to pay my bills. But I worry about the implications of not getting the vaccine/how I am viewed in the future.
If you have actual underlying health risk factors that make this kind of inoculation uniquely dangerous to your own health, that's not being anti-vaxx.

what's the benefit of a bar? expensive alcohol, can't order pizza, shitty bathrooms, not in control of music, too loud to talk
vs having people at your house: cheaper drinks, can do whatever you want for food, can play games, etc.
I still see the benefit of going to a restaurant for good food but bars are shitty

I pretty much drink from 2pm Wednesday until Sunday. One of my favorite weekends of the year.
It is really getting to me that its not happening this year. Was also thinking about my packed Decembers of Christmas parties and gatherings that I usually complain about and while it's nice not to have so many obligations, I'm really going to miss it.
