WRT mikey's link, I'd like to see more detailed data on the number of layers used in the cloth masks, too. Most masks I've seen are at least 2 ply, so I'd be curious to see how they fared against 1-ply after mouth breathers exhale into them over a period of time (how much time?).

I have a multi-ply mask with cut-to-fit HEPA filter inserts. The mask is washed every night following use, and the filters are disposed of after each use, and by each use I mean each individual indoor space I enter. I have I think it's a 62% alc hand sanitizer that I keep in my car that gets applied as soon as I get in, and hands are washed for the recommended 20-seconds as soon as I get home. The mask manufacturer suggests using double-sided tape to seal the edge of the mask around the bridge of the nose, but I admit I stop short of that.
It's a PITA, but I figure it's less of a PITA than spending a month in the hospital on a ventilator, or inadvertently transmitting it to someone who ends up hospitalized.

I only wear my masks once and throw them in the laundry pile. I'm surprised, but not really surprised, there are people who use them multiple times before cleaning.
I think the longest I've worn one was still for less than an hour. The shortest was for like 30 seconds going into a convenience store for milk.

No joke, I got a giant bag of like 15 or 20 white cotton cloth "masks" in may. I sort of just planted them everywhere and anywhere I might need them. I throw on whatever one I grab when I need it and then put it right back when I'm done. I've probably washed them all once, MAYBE twice?

I have a rather large beard so I needed to find something that worked for me mask wise. I found these amazing cloth masks that fit very well. 10 for $15. Shipped to me in 2 days. I wash them after every use. It helps that I work from home and don't go out often. But every time I wear a mask I toss it in the garment bag for washing.

I actually have those exact same masks, along with a few other options. I normally don't wear them though because I prefer the ones with the ear loops. These you have to tie behind your head and it's not as convenient. Although on the description it says "can be tied in ear loops or behind head" but I have no idea how that would work.I have a rather large beard so I needed to find something that worked for me mask wise. Old navy masks ftw. They're great.

I like them because they seem to go quite far down the chin, and I have a pretty large face, but I'll second the question @PFiDC: given the description "Mask can be tied into ear loops or behind the head. " - which one is the "default"?I actually have those exact same masks, along with a few other options. I normally don't wear them though because I prefer the ones with the ear loops. Also - I use the standard surgical masks pretty much all the time, because I need to talk in big classrooms, and IMO the surgical masks provide the lowest degree of any acoustic distortion (I have quite a powerful voice, but I found that I am harder to understand when speaking through a cloth mask - especially the "sturdy" one). How is the "sound loss" with Tultex?

The J&J phase 3 trial is halted due to an unexplained illness in a patient. Similar to the other vaccine candidate from a month or so ago. Hopefully, it’s unrelated and the trial can resume in a timely fashion.

My wife got some awesome Disney/Star Wars masks directly from Disney. She pre-ordered them in March and they came in July.Etsy is still my go to for masks.
Honestly, I think the blue surgical masks I see people out in just look gross. They look way "dirtier" than a nice cloth mask. Love being able to wash them too.

I remember when Disney revealed the masks in March but wouldn’t ship until July and I said “July?! This will all be over by then. Nice job, Disney.”My wife got some awesome Disney/Star Wars masks directly from Disney. She pre-ordered them in March and they came in July.Etsy is still my go to for masks.

Sigh.
