Not to veer offtopic, but man did Jenny's plastic surgery make her look scary.Having never been, the Time Square New Year's Eve ball drop has always been virtual to me. Hopefully they'll Zoom with a drunk Jenny McCarthy.

When Covid is over you should come to some of the parties I attend...I don't mind being in spaces with people (not related to this thread), but that seems like a crowd that would be too much for me to really feel comfortable or at least enjoy myself...

Wear an adult diaper?Imagine being sandwiched between millions of people with nowhere to turn, all yelling, and no easy access to a urinal. If I were forced to go to Times Square again, I'd pay for one of the hotel rooms right there, because those people were the smart ones.Source of the post I'd be curious to know a bit about the experience if you wanted to share, NTP...if you don't want to re-live it, I understand haha

This is how I feel about San Diego Comic-Con. It outgrew the venue 15 years ago, so it's just smelly misery.Having been there once, I can say that I would never, ever do it ever again. Ever.
They shut down the Vegas Strip on NYE, so that whole 4-mile stretch is pedestrians only, and boy howdy are there pedestrians. That's another 1-and-done experience for me.

I'd like to do that once, and feel that it's also in the same category of "did it once, don't have to do it again", as well.Source of the post This is how I feel about San Diego Comic-Con. It outgrew the venue 15 years ago, so it's just smelly misery.

My wife has over 2000 students this semester. Only 20 or so she sees in person as they're the majors section. She's already had a handful test positive this past week, so she had to go get tested as well. It came back negative, but not until about 8 o'clock in the evening. The neighbor kid saw my daughter and I playing outside and wanted to come play too. He and his mom came up to the fence and it was so heartbreaking to tell a 5 and 2.5 year old they can't play because we didn't have test results back yet for my wife.

I have absolutely no interest in going to massive events like Times Square on NYE or Vegas or any of that. I could tell it was a cesspool when I was 10 years old

I went twice and that was more than enough. I had heard about the smells before I went and I just assumed people were exaggerating or making fun of the nerds. Nope. You don't know nasty until you breathe in the stench of the Con floor on Day 3.I'd like to do that once, and feel that it's also in the same category of "did it once, don't have to do it again", as well.Source of the post This is how I feel about San Diego Comic-Con. It's because so many attendees are cosplaying in sometimes wildly elaborate get ups that are made almost entirely of sweat absorbing materials. It's just.......... this is going to sound hyperbolic, but it's the most unique stench I've ever smelled. Like, as I'm sitting here in my house close to 10 years on, I can imagine it.I went twice and that was more than enough.
