COVID-19
I see, still doesn't align with the total death data from that page i linked. So, absent some details on why they don't reconcile, have to leave that open.Week 40 of 2019 till week 26 of 2020Interesting, that data seems very different from the numbers that are on this chart.
All cause deaths last 6 years.
https://www.cdc.gov/flu/weekly/index.htm
On the weekly influenza chart, it has all deaths going back that far, has very different numbers for all the years.
Also, what does week 40-26 mean? We are not at week 40 of 2020.

That’s only California, so doesn’t necessarily support your statement.@nocera[citation needed]

Our school board passed the proposed plan for Fall 2020, where all classes will be virtual through at least November 30th. It'll be a combination of live and recorded learning, and if the sample was accurate, there will be live teaching on M/T/Th/F, and recorded learning on W so that teachers can work on professional development. The district is partnering with both the local YMCA and day care facilities to provide child care for families who won't be able to stay home with their kids during this. They're also giving every student a Chromebook, and giving hot spots to any family without internet access. I'm very happy with how the plan was presented, and the thought that appears to have gone into it all.

Went for the test this morning, and it was, in fact, the NP swab. My daughter handled it like a pro, though, which was a huge relief. Not all hospitals are using that swab type, though. I know of at least one still doing the NP swab (brain stabber). The person who I spoke with on the phone wasn’t sure which one they’re currently using.According to Bill Gates' latest interview, the COVID tests that shove the needle that high are out of date. New tests have been developed that only require the qtip to be just placed in the top of your nose.

When I got tested, it was just a light swirl in each nostril, I was bracing for the brain massage, so was like 'is that it?" Nurse said something about the type of test depended on what they had in stock at the time, basically I lucked out.Went for the test this morning, and it was, in fact, the NP swab. You can use both swab types with the same tests for the most part, so I assume in this hospital's case, they only have the old school stabber swabs available. I figured they'd at least have some of the newer swabs for children. The nurse laughed and told my daughter that she handled it better than most of the adults they test. When I got tested, it was just a light swirl in each nostril, I was bracing for the brain massage, so was like 'is that it?" Two IT folks I was talking with yesterday said their kids are going in full time...and they seemed pretty okay with it for some reason (it is possible that they don't love them)...one lives out in Souderton, I forget the other one...I didn't even think that was gonna be a choice up here...much less an agreeable one...Our school board passed the proposed plan for Fall 2020, where all classes will be virtual through at least November 30th. To each their own, but that's just crazy to me. I was going to look into online schooling even if our district decided to bring kids in. My school district actually has an online academy where students remain part of the actual school district, which I just learned. Two IT folks I was talking with yesterday said their kids are going in full time...and they seemed pretty okay with it for some reason (it is possible that they don't love them)...one lives out in Souderton, I forget the other one...I didn't even think that was gonna be a choice up here...much less an agreeable one...Our school board passed the proposed plan for Fall 2020, where all classes will be virtual through at least November 30th. My wee city finally passed a mandatory mask ordinance (our campus has had one all summer, so this will help us out immensely).
As one would expect, the Facebook comments on the city hall post were something else.
Again, I think we're doomed. Social media has destroyed us, and I'm not even talking about politics. Invasion of privacy, wrapping one's self in a virtual world where we seek the endorphin rush of likes and comments has changed our culture significantly, and not in a good way.
