"we need 12 months"

"you get 3; I don't care how you get it done, just do it"
It works like software development. The project is 100 man weeks to complete so we;ll put 100 people on it and be done in 1 week.

I don't really know how related KDKA tv and KDKA radio are, but KDKA radio still employs Wendy Bell. So, they suck too.
KDKA-AM isn't managed by KDKA anymore. Its managed by Entercom. I imagine they have heard a bunch of complaints about her.

I assume you'd have to look at the positive rate. Testing volume doesn't mean **** if the virus isn't spreading.
France is around 2-3% positive. USA was around 6.5% yesterday.
Right, that's a big difference. I think AZ had something like 25% positive, so it's probably a little apples and oranges there. The US spread is concentrated in a handful of places. (CA, TX, FL, AZ, Carolinas, etc). I wouldn't be surprised if in the next couple of months if we see more interstate travel restrictions.
US’ daily reported deaths keep falling even when accounting for the spike. I expect to see some increase in the states that are having a bunch of outbreaks, but it might be drowned out by the decline elsewhere. If you look at the most current data we have from the CDC that is at least 80% complete, it shows about about 1500 excess deaths on the week of June 6th. Which if we assume every one was from covid (which is a stretch), then that means we averaged somewhere between 200-270 covid deaths a day based on the final data.

That order outlines what people should have been doing anyways. It really doesn't change much, other than it having to be put in an "order" because people are morons and want to be selfish.

If deaths lag 2-4 weeks behind cases, are we not roughly 2 weeks away from seeing that same spike?

I'm reading the order... https://www.governor.pa.gov/wp-content/ ... -Order.pdf

The only difference I'm seeing is that if you're outdoors AND you cannot keep 6 feet, you're to wear a mask...

They really need to address enforcement. You can issue orders all **** day but if there's nobody to enforce them they don't mean ****.

Not sure what the argument is. The deaths are definitely dropping thankfully, probably as a result of some better treatment plans and the necessary precautions being taken at retirement, nursing homes, etc. I guess I just don't see death trends as helpful in addressing the initial comment. Which seemed to question if the spread in Europe is being understated due to lower testing numbers.

I think the answer is simply that once the community spread is contained, the testing demands are lower. Less people sick -> less exposure -> less people needing a test.

Bingo... you already have people saying "f*ck you, I'm going to come shop without a mask and you can't stop me." This order won't do sh*t.

What does this mean? They need to provide examples to identify what situations this is applicable to.

So if my kids are playing outside with their friends, they all need a mask? Or if they are on our property they should be good?

What about swimming?

Short of this being signed into law and enforced with fines/jail time, people know there is no consequence except for being kicked out of a business and people judging you. And even if it was a law with real consequences, some people would still not follow it.

I don't know what to do

lol... yeah right.

From the get go these guys have just put sh*t out there and said "figure it out on your own". As much as I believe in a lot of what they've ordered, they've done a sh*t job with clarifying any details.

No clue. I supposed it could be a ticketed fine if caught? Thankfully that's not up to me to figure out.

Good question on the first one. According to the order, I would say they should be wearing a mask.

The second one, no, of course not. Masks are not advised when swimming.

Kennywood will be requiring masks worn at all times except eating. So, yup.
