COVID-19

This is a good thread, but she's a master of public health, so Freddy might not want to read:

She lost me at #1. Case fatality rate decreases significantly over time for every other virus but somehow this one is underestimated?

Then her shot at hydroxychloroquine clearly indicates her thread was politically charged.

Current state of grunty:

Well... She is lying about hydroxychloroquine, since we don't know if it worsens outcomes yet or not.

Hydroxychloroquine has not been shown to worsen outcomes, at all. Most recent SCIENTIFIC data (capitalized since apparently that's everyone's new favorite politically charged buzzword) shows it may cause other health complications.

And she has no **** clue what she's talking about regarding remdesivir. So shes telling us a drug only currently being administered in hospitals may decrease hospitalizations? **** this lady.

If you're gonna try and kick another poster in the nuts at least find something better than this quack.

Do you have an issue with my posts on this topic? Otherwise I'd love to know why this needs to be made personal.

Where am I factually incorrect? Please enlighten me instead of being obtuse and trying to derail the thread. I am not trying to be political or personal at all with my responses, so I would hope you won’t either.

Cool, the brand loyalty thing sticks even to the virus. Again, I love the dedication...hate the result, but the dedication is insane...props.

So MR25 comes in and starts **** and I'm the dadhole?

I have literally 0 optimism that Hydroxychloroquine works, and if it does have any benefit, it doesn't seem likely to outweigh the side effects. At least based on what I have read so far.

I just can't stand when people like her go on Twitter and act high and mighty with matter-of- fact content that isn't even, well, fact. Her thread was at best written with political undertones and at worst passing off a political narrative as fact from her ivory tower.

So the band of goons coming to MR25s rescue can back off now.

what the hell does that have to do with anything?
People with underlying co-morbidities have a disproportionately higher risk associated with COVID infection. And people in lower socio-economic demographics tend to have disproportionately higher incidence of co-morbidities. It's not a political statement, it's fact pattern recognition.

Also I believe the lower socioeconomic demographics have more limited access to hospitals and treatment, correct?

Only in rural areas.

That doesn't explain it in urban areas.

Lol. You couldn’t be more wrong. Don’t assume things. I have taken courses on how to read clinical studies.

Stop trying to make hydroxychloroquine happen... it's not going to happen.
