If I didn't have parents and in-laws who want to come and see my kid, I'd be up for whatever opens as well.

And what do the results actually mean in terms long run?How accurate is it believed to be?Yeah they've had this test for a while. They charge $120 for it.I had to get blood taken on Monday and they (Quest) have the convid-19 antibody test available there.

We don’t know the plan yet, but first part will definitely will be review or any missed content from this year.My district isn't giving out grades (letter, percent, or even pass/fail) for this last grading period, they just have to show progress. We haven't told our kids yet because obviosuly they would shut down and not do anything. I worry those most for my son in Kindergarten. I really don't know how he will do in 1st grade now. These past two months have been a big struggle with him and we were in the middle of IEP evaluation when everything shut down. Will they spend the first part of next school year doing a review from last year?Yup, they’re grades can’t go down, can only go up. For middle school it’s going to simply be a “pass” grade. High school they have the option of a numerical grade or a pass. What many kids understandably fail to see is that not doing this work hurts them for next year.

Even though Sweden didn’t lockdown, just relied on their citizens, they only have 7-8% antibody positives so far. Sweden has basically still followed the same path of most nations, somewhere between USA and Italy in terms of death per million. Case rate has been falling, just like most countries.
Wondering if the theory In that study about previously being infected by another coronavirus gives people immunity is correct. Since they found 40-60% of people had t-cells from those other corona viruses that are similar to what people get with Covid. If that is true, then herd immunity for this disease would somewhere around 20-30% of the population, since some people might already be immune or have some form of immunity. Again, only if that study is found to be true.

They are starting to talk here about having kids in "1/2 grade". In other words if you are going from 2nd to 3rd grade they are going to treat you as being in 2nd 1/2 grade for a while. We don’t know the plan yet, but first part will definitely will be review or any missed content from this year.My district isn't giving out grades (letter, percent, or even pass/fail) for this last grading period, they just have to show progress. COVID-19
Sweden didn't issue stay at home orders but none of their **** was open. Spread was limited naturally through people having nowhere to go.

I was wondering if grade consolidation would make sense. Half-grade is basically the same thing.

Some schools are considering looping (keeping the same teacher for next year). Honestly, I’d say about 2-3 weeks of solid review is all that’s needed. We were almost done with new content when we left and the last part of the year is always review for end of grade testing.

So, my stubborn dumbass dad who has Parkinson’s and Lewy Body dementia decided it was a great time to call his brother, who also has Parkinson’s, albeit far less advanced, and go out to Applebee’s of all places to eat to celebrate the end of lockdown in Ohio. My sister is rightfully flipping the eff out since she’s his caregiver and her son has asthma. You’d think someone in his condition might be a bit more cautious, but no.

This is part of the "1/2 grade" idea, but they are wanting the new teacher to re-teach for a month what the kids were supposed to learn the year before. Some schools are considering looping (keeping the same teacher for next year). Honestly, I’d say about 2-3 weeks of solid review is all that’s needed. We were almost done with new content when we left and the last part of the year is always review for end of grade testing.
They are also talking about canceling testing for 2021 in order to accommodate that extra month or two of refreshment.

They have a disclaimer that a positive result doesn't mean you have the specific covid-19 antibodies but it might mean you have other coronavirus antibodies. And you could have specific covid-19 antibodies too, but I'm not sure if the results specify this. Maybe other coronavirus antibodies can help you with covd-19, who knows. I'm real curious about it, I think my insurance will cover the cost so I may get it done next week. How accurate is it believed to be?Yeah they've had this test for a while. This is becoming me. I will be one of the first back to my wellness center when it opens. I really need to get back to swimming and working out. An hour a day keeps the doctors away. I will follow every safety rule they put in place. This lack of my pre-shutdown activity seems to be really affecting my health (physical and mental). Just walking around the neighborhood and behind a mower ain't getting it.I don't live in my fears. I'm in for whatever opens up

Even with the diamond cut?

Pitt is apparently doing a study on antibodies. My one coworker, who we assumed had really bad bronchitis that led her to spend almost a month in the hospital, signed up for it. They never tested her for it because she had only traveled to Florida in mid-February and they weren't testing unless you went international.
Kinda hoping she's gets picked, because if she ended up having COVID I want to see if I picked up the antibodies, given my proximity to her in the office.

Gov. Wolf to announce more counties moving to yellow phase on Friday, some possibly to green phase

It's pretty surprising that green announcements may come tomorrow. You would think they'd want to stay in yellow at least long enough to monitor cases.

Apparently the yellow phase was to be a 3 week check and then re-evaluate. 3 weeks will be on the 29th here, and Wolf has been announcing changes on the Friday before putting them in place which would be tomorrow. I'm not super surprised that some can go green.
