Why would he wear a mask in a car by himself?I yelled back "oh **** off." Not surprisingly, he wasn't wearing a mask either.

That guy would lose his mind in rural PA. I went to Lowes and two greenhouses yesterday. All were packed and less than 50% of the people were wearing masks.

From what I read about viral load emissions, yelling at someone from the car would pose more of a risk than walking around without a mask.

Right. He doesn't need to wear a mask just like I didn't need to have a mask on at that moment. Dude also has no idea how insanely anal I am about following the rules.Because he's driving around and yelling at people for not wearing masks. Why would he wear a mask in a car by himself?I yelled back "oh **** off." I was looking at some world meter numbers for places like Spain, France and Italy that were really hit hard. I have no idea how open they are now, but the numbers I see look really good. Definitely on a downward trend of cases and deaths.

What a jagoff that guy is. For someone to catch covid from your breathing, you'd have to be in an enclosed space with them for a significant period of time. Whatever that means, i can confidently say it longer than the amount of time it takes to walk past them outdoors.

I'd estimate about 30% of people out and about in my 'hood are wearing a mask while taking the dog for a walk/jogging/whatever.
I don't wear one when I'm outside and don't plan on it. If it is so contagious and hearty that it can float around in the outdoors like the force or the donora smog or something, then my silly cloth mask isn't going to stop it and pretty much nothing short of an N95 is going to stop it. And if that is the case, i might as well just get and it and get it over with. Those are my two uneducated cents.

I dont know. They expected it to be more than 0 which is why protocols were supposed to have been established. 70 cases out of 40,000 schools... or 1 case for every 571 schools... thats pretty much nothing. That might just be the cost of doing business.https://www.nbcnews.com/health/health-n ... g-n1209591
Of note:But it seems some more waiting is probably for the best.Given that the incubation period for the virus is several days, Blanquer said, people are "likely" to have been infected before about 40,000 preschools and primary schools reopened last week, with classes capped at 15 students.
Hopefully the protocols work or else that 70 can become 7000 pretty quick.

Agree. I think that would give the government something to hold themselves to, which is a lot more palatable to people than "we will advance when we say so"I don't necessarily want a time line, but more concrete info on what makes green. "X% hospital utilization, Y% ICU utilization, Z cases per 100,000 with ABC amount of testing and you're green."

Got notice that we are to pick up everything from my kids school on June 3rd. Dates and times based on last name groups. Stuff will be out on the sidewalks around the school kind of like a yard sale. Respect social distancing, etc. Feels weird.

Where are you shopping? Giant Iggle has is for $3.99 if you can get in before the hoarders snag all of it.So we're now paying $8 per pound for 80/20 ground beef. Cool.

I'm picky with meat and shop at two local stores who have in-house butchers. I'm starting to think they are just gouging, being that they have chuck roasts and delmonico steaks for the same price.Where are you shopping? we go for a walk at lunchtime every day. the path we walk on is about 6 feet wide. we switch to a column when others are coming the other way or coming up from behind us. occasionally we come across adults and children who are taking up half the path. I don't expect small children to know that they should social distance so we just move to the street or grassy area to be far enough away. we don't wear masks on the walk (we do wear them everywhere else we go) and I'd say probably 10%- 20% of the other people out exercising have masks on.While on a walk today, a dude from a passing car yelled out "put on a **** mask!"
I was walking in my neighborhood and was literally the only person on the sidewalk. Seemed aggressive. If I do see somebody on the same side of the street as me, I always cross to the other side to avoid getting close.
Do you guys wear a mask while exercising?

The thought of running four miles on with a mask on makes me shudder. That said, like others mentioned I do see people with masks on out walking. When my daughter and I visited the county park on Saturday, we wore it around our necks and respectfully pulled it up when we approached someone coming the other way on the trail. Seems the most reasonable approach.Good. Wearing a mask on walks is essentially uselessI yelled back "oh **** off." Not surprisingly, he wasn't wearing a mask either.
You aren’t gonna get COVID outside when you aren’t breathing on each other
