Starting to see a resurgence of idiots posting on Facebook about this being a hoax and how it’s socialists keeping us on lock down and moving towards a communist state...

I'm going to go with "faulty testing", but not in the sense you may think. It's not that the tests suck, per say, but that you be deemed "recovered" you need to negative test results within 24 hours of each other. I doubt that is happening with the stress on the limited number of tests available. Was this "Coronavirus reactivation" stuff posted here yet? Sorry, if it was...

Med folks: What's more likely? "Reactivation" or "Faulty testing"?

Take some tests from the tigers.

Another day added. R2 is now .9907Added a 17th day to my Allegheny county chart and the R2 value increased from .9868 to .9889
Why is Birx citing Pittsburgh as a potential upcoming hot spot? Perfectly linear growth over a nearly 3 week period seems to suggest otherwise.
Cases doubling in 7.5 days.

There is zero data that supports that prediction. We are a few days from our peak resource use and it's not looking like we're going to be anywhere near capacity at the hospitals. Hospitalization numbers are really the best way to judge since everybody knows testing numbers aren't super accurate.

I dont think Pittsburgh was ever mentioned in those briefings. I think it would have been front page news on every local news station/site/newspaper if Birx said that. King Colby is downgraded to Duke Colby for this fake news. And no, I will not accept footage of a deep fake Dr. Birx saying Pittsburgh is an emerging hot spot. I'm dug in.

I see some news articles saying that PA in general and Philadelphia in particular were mentioned as potential hot spots, but I don't see anything that says that Pittsburgh was specifically mentioned in that context. There are a lot of new cases in Philly and in the counties along and close to the NJ and NY borders, such as Bucks and Northampton. Also a lot of cases in Luzerne County (Wilkes-Barre).

The Duke might have a lower title but he's really the one that does all the work!I dont think Pittsburgh was ever mentioned in those briefings. Why would there be an upcoming "surge" in PA anywhere that isnt already ongoing?
NY had its first case 39 days ago, PA 34 days ago. NY is slowing yet PA is expected to surge?

It's believed that the NYC spread was taking place in February. Pittsburgh is 3.5 weeks into social distancing, but it does seem like we're clear of big community spread.
