Anyone in education have an idea about what will actually happen the return back to school date happens? Will kids just take some finals and be done with the year?

I don’t think anyone knows and people are working on it now. There’s really no precedent for this. Developing online learning techniques now, to hopefully be able to teach effectively. If we do go back, there would be face to face instruction, then finals I assume.

Since online schooling seems to be working, will we see more of it in the future? Has to be cheaper then heating and cooling and maintaining big buildings and busing. Should be a lot cheaper in colleges also which means less college debt.

I was diagnosed with anosmia three years ago after a bad case of bronchitis. Had a camera fed through my nasal cavity and a brain MRI and those were normal. ENT said the virus causing the bronchitis killed some of my receptor cells. Interesting.

CDC says coronavirus survived in Princess Cruise ship cabins for up to 17 days after passengers left
Seems like 15 days of social distancing might not be enough.

Same. Our superintendent sent out an update stating that on March 30th, we’ll be moving to something new. Details later this week. They’ve been handing out chromebooks to students who don’t have a device at home.

The “grey market” for supplies has been damaging to normal operations. This whole endeavor really brings out the worst in people unfortunately

we are approaching a weird, uncomfortable intersection between what OSHA/CDC are recommending for proper PPE and what data is 'suggesting' from the different medical societies. OSHA/CDC are 'loosening' their recommendations while the societies are recommending the highest level PPE. i assume the former is due to the nationwide resource issues and the latter to protect their constituencies due to data from wuhan, iran and italy.
