My cousin's wife is about to lose her baby (not 100% yet but not looking good) and the working theory is that it's related to her having covid about a month ago. She's in the 2nd trimester. I'm sick
That's tragic.

Another co-worker's spouse tested positive about a week ago, mild symptoms, breakthrough case. She felt fine in quarantine, until the fifth day...and she tested positive yesterday. That's two people that tested positive on the tail end of the quarantine period.

My niece tested positive, but as she's 13, stays away from everyone anyone lol

That was me. I had minor symptoms for a week. Tested negative on day 2 and positive on day 7. No symptoms for two days after the positive and now my voice is going with a scratchy throat.

Good luck, KC so sorry to hear that.

Both kids went back to school and day care this morning without a hitch, and my wife tested negative a couple of hours later. Still feels terrible but that's a start. She wanted to come down and start going through mail (Type A personality shining through) and had to go up ten minutes later because she was wiped out.

Friends of a friend have two kids, one 5 one under a year. Both kids are sick (congested, coughing) and the dad took them to the doc today. Both parents are unvaccinated and are anti-vaxxers. The doc tested both kids for covid and the parents are OUTRAGED. They're convinced the kids just have colds but, because there's a grand conspiracy, the doc will say the kids are positive and mom and dad will have to miss work. Even the 5 year old is in a bad mood complaining "They tested me!" because she has bought into her parent's BS. :face:

University told me that we (and the other spring sports) are shutdown until Feb 21st. Our conference playoffs are 2/18 to 2/20. Sweet. Completely illogical ass hats...I got an email every 16 seconds asking me to upload proof of my booster (even a week and a half after I had completed the task) - but you don't trust the vaccine for us to get back together again? I don't understand...anti-science, liberal university...what a combo of dunces.

A huge conference just canceled their March event. They’re claiming it’s due to covid concerns. Uh huh… so why exactly are you canceling now when cases are starting to fall and everyone and their brother are forecasting this wave to be over by mid/late February? Just admit you’re not getting the attendance you expected and move on.

To make it worse they’re giving advance notice to their biggest exhibitors first. One of them leaked it on Twitter and others are finding out from that. Bunch of boomers run the show, so it makes sense they’re terrible at communicating.

Meanwhile, as of right now, the state Beta Club Convention is still on for the first weekend in February. In Myrtle Beach.

It also looks like St. Patrick's Day festivities are still on for Savannah. It had been canceled in 2020 and 21, obviously. Things should be quieter by then.

Hes good... happy, eating, etc. Looks like hell though. Sucks he's unvaxxed. The dr thinks he started with covid and now the flu is what's causing the worse symptoms he's experiencing
