It wasn't a great sign when WDVE started playing pearl jam and the like

It was definitely a bad sign when 3ws started playing songs from my youth (I heard 4 non blondes on 3ws yesterday)

The "blank looks".

I always get them when I reference a "MAC machine." (Which is all the time, because I never say "ATM")

I also remember a specific instance, chatting with (who I now realize was a much younger) co-worker about the dish soap in the kitchen at work. I was talking about "Madge" and "dishpan hands" and he looked like a deer in headlights. I felt effing old that day.
there is a MAC machine on Put-in-Bay if you ever really have the itch

I'm not old, but seeing players getting drafted into pro sports being born in the 2000s is whackadoodles
That's how it starts. Welcome to the Old Guys Club.
I had made 'old' jokes before, but what really set in stone for me was when I realized that going into this year Sidney Crosby is now the age I was when he was drafted.
Brushing my teeth at 27, I hurt my back leaning over to spit out the toothpaste.
This is my new favorite innocuous 'old injury'.

Source of the post Being called "Sir."
This is as close as I've gotten to feeling old, when my neighbor's kid called me 'sir'. I let him know that he's not allowed to call me that.

Mentally and physically (for the most part) I still feel young, but when people coming out of college that I work with are closer to age to my 9 and 7 year old kids than me, that makes me feel old. I'm 41.

When you tell yourself that you're still young, that's when you're old.

I turn 37 in May. I don't feel old by any stretch, except for occasional lower back pain. I am a kid at heart, love rolling around on the floor with my daughter, and chasing her outside.

For me, I am obsessed with chronology/time. For example, last year being the milestone that my high school graduation was halfway back to my birth. I'm always thinking about how many years have passed since X. I think being in my 30s (and still adjacent to my 20s) helps...40s will be interesting.
Last year I had somebody tell me that my age was the midpoint between graduating high school and early retirement.

I promptly told them to get off my lawn.

They play Pearl Jam? The only things I ever hear on WDVE is Zeppelin, Door, Styx and ACDC.

For me, it's been having co-workers whose birthdates fall on days that I can pretty much guess what I was doing that day whether it was my freshman year in college or working the summer job between freshman and sophomore years. I had one shadowing me and I made a Seinfeld reference and she looked at me like I had 5 heads. But that's pretty much the only time. I'm staring down 44 in a couple of months and if I didn't know the number, I'd never say that I feel that way especially with all the traveling, officiating, and other activities I keep myself up on. Of course, unlike a number of you, I'm not chasing little ones around so I'm not adding years of that stress onto what I already have.

Now, dating a 24-year-old as I was last year can certainly make it seem like you're younger but it's really just in number only.

I still can’t believe that seatbelts aren’t required on school buses. Videos like this prove that they should be.
