I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that they practice for like 3 or 4 weeks together.

Also it's a bunch of scrubs who couldn't hack it in the NFL. It's just a lower quality of player. It just seems pointless. I dunno.

They were smart to use smaller stadiums. That's one of the things that sunk the AAF. Facilities cost.
Wonder if NY tried to use Red Bull Arena?

This about sums it up. If you like to watch football here's something to watch between the NFL and NCAA offseason. Also it's a bunch of scrubs who couldn't hack it in the NFL. It's just a lower quality of player. It just seems pointless. I dunno.

First XFL game draws 3.3 million viewers on ABC

Not a great number but not horrible either. It's better than the first week of AAF which drew 2.9 million. The big test will be week 2.

If nothing else the XFL has a better TV deal as their games stay on ABC/ESPN etc, where the AAF after the first week got regulated to second tier networks.

Was listening to some stuff about the XFL on the Kornheiser podcast. Someone wrote in and said they went to a game and the league only seats one side of the stadium, where the cameras are pointing.

It still just seems like the level of play is really poor anytime I tune in.

Is there a reason they are using the Seahawks stadium? 30k in a 72k capacity stadium. Loud crowd though.
Can they survive on the average team drawing say 15k a week though?
