When Jamie Moyer retired I realized there wasn't anyone older than me left in pro sports. :(

Jason Martin is called up.

Still no sign of Ke'Bryan Hayes. Some of the beat writers think something's going on with him and Pirates management.

They offered him a multi year extension before the season and his agent/management team balked at the offer. I’m sure this is going to help matters.

They called up Will Craig and aren’t playing him either?

The good news is that Josh Hader still hasn’t allowed a hit in 2020. The bad news is that he barely threw anything to hit Saturday night.

And even when Hader completely lost the strike zone, the Brewers still found a way to win.

The typically dominant Brewers closer walked five of the six batters he faced while blowing a one-run lead in the top of the ninth inning, then was bailed out by the Milwaukee hitter who might have been in the deepest slump of all. Eric Sogard, with no home runs entering the night and mired in a 5-for-45 slide as he stepped to the plate in the bottom of the ninth, hit a two-run homer (off of Dick Rod) for the Brewers’ first walk-off win of 2020, a 7-6 stunner against the Pirates at Miller Park.

Marlins are the winner.

Despite being the Pirates thread, it would be so 2020 for the Marlins to win the World Series.

Bucs are running out of time to trade anything of value.

Jacob Stallings is pretty much the only player performing ~well~ in 2020. Everyone else is either hurt or sucks, or is hurt and sucked.

Considering the return being offered was probably uninspiring, I think they are better off holding him in hopes of Musgrove taking another step production wise. At this point, he is just a reliable middle of the rotation guy, cheap, and under control for another 2 years. He is a trade able commodity right now, but you are not going to get anything notable for that just because it's cost-controlled. Hold out for that breakthrough, and at least your roster is a little less laughable for 2021.

It's time to pull the gd plug on the Jose Osuna experience. He is 27. He is not a prospect. His career ops is 692 and his career WAR is -1.3 in 600+ plate appearance. I wish he had a legitimate chance to start on a regular basis, but he didnt. I want to believe he is good. But he is not.

I dont think the deadline was a "bust". I think a lot of the values are down and they were unlikely to acquire assets of any consequence for what they had. They can wait until next year and likely get the same or more for all of them.

Except williams. He's not a major leaguer now and he won't be next year. Fraud.

Hayes, Tucker, Bell in the infield. Cutch, Marte, Polanco in the OF. Cole, Morton, Glasnow, Taillon in the rotation. Oh what could have been if things went right and we had an owner that spent money

Why would CF Cole Tucker be in the infield? Or are we assuming the manager also isn't a moron.
