He is now sporting an ERA of 54. Will it go up or down his next time out?

[SCENE: PNC Park locker room, June 2019. Kyle Crick is wandering around the basement.]

Crick: "Hey, what's behind this door? It's unmarked."

[Crick opens the door, finds a lost and found closet of items left by former players.]

Crick: "Wow, look at all this stuff! Let's see...a shrine to Pat Meares, that's pretty lame....a leftover steroid needle of Brian Giles? Gross...whoa, look at this bad boy!"

[Crick pulls out a flame thrower with "Property of Tony Watson" emblazoned on the side]

Ray Searage: "Be careful with that. That thing is haunted by the spirit of The Master Arsonist. It will take over your soul."

Crick: "Shut up, old man. Don't you have a prospect to ruin? Vasquez will be so jealous when I take this to the mound with me."

[END SCENE]

No idea what you do with Crick at this point. I guess he would be demoted to AAA in a normal season. Maybe Burdi and Kuhl emerge as BP anchors, otherwise, they will need to pretty much overhaul the entire BP.

They need to overhaul the entire everything.
The bullpen is something that can be overhauled. The lineup and rotation have to be addressed through the system.

They have a possible wave of position prospects that will start graduating (meaningfully) next year. The pitchers will start trickling up starting probably in 2022.

This is only in reference to graduating guys to the majors though, obviously yet to be seen if guys like Hayes or Cruz are stars or just guys that can hack it in the majors

The good news is that it is fairly easy to quickly overhaul a bullpen because relievers are a pretty cheap relative to the cost of a starting pitching on the free agent market. It really isn’t that hard to put together a good bullpen. The bad news is that pretty cheap isn’t cheap enough for this ownership group, so we are stuck with nick burdi and Clayton Holmes

The good the bad and the ugly, weekend #1:

The good.
-There are a few exciting pitchers to watch between keller, Brubaker, and burdi, all of whom did well today.
-Osuna might actually be a major leaguer
-polanco recovered from the China virus so theres a good chance he provides some good "the ugly" material in the near future

The bad.
-Reynolds went 0-10
-Trevor Williams is a complete fraud. Early prediction he does not finish the season in the rotation and not because of a trade...

The ugly.
-Crick. Besides not being good and being a clubhouse **** starter (or finisher), being named Kyle isn't helping his cause.
-Arguing with umps in covid times

The good - Phillip Evans? (I consider myself a pretty big baseball fan and had no idea this guy existed before this weekend)

Williams should never be allowed to pitch more than 3 innings.

Evidently, Brubaker has always been a starter. He does have five effective pitches, which is about three more than your average reliever.

he had some pretty nasty stuff last night. He was our minor league pitcher of the year in 2018 and missed all of last year - he could still turn out to be an okay piece
