Remember when Brault somehow barfed out three really good innings in his last start and DK screamed because they pulled him anyway?

Del Bozo's reign of terror ended. Cherington realized that his doofus manager would keep smashing himself in the face with a hammer until the hammer was taken away.

Phil Evans left the field on a stretcher after colliding with Polanco.

Musgrove will miss his next start because of leg discomfort. :face:

Brault will take his start. :face: :face:

At the quarter post of the season they're still on track for 12 wins. Hah.

They’re about to get half a week off as it looks like the Cards series is going to be cancelled.

Broken jaw and concussion for Evans.

He's done for this season.

While I would've liked Polanco to have called him off, and he might have tried, you just have to think that journeyman, "have to make every play to stay on the team" mentality kicked in there. Not that they have anyone in the wings to take over like Evans has.

Broken jaw and concussion for Evans. 45 day DL and season over. Nears back down. Waddell and Osuna up.

I've been watching for Brandon Waddell. Glad he is getting a shot.

Evans is still only 27 and I liked what I saw. Shame he's done. Hopefully he can come back next year

All Star (for the Marlins) in 2014. Has a no hitter, but hasn’t pitched in the bigs since 2017.

Let’s assume Miguel del poso will never pitch in the major leagues again. To summarize:

He face 70 batters

He walked 16 of them (keep in mind a good major league walks 10% of the time)

He gave up 17 hits. 3 of those hits were home runs and 3 of them were doubles

His batting average against was 327; on base was 478; slugging was 558. That is an OPS of 1.036, right around jimmy foxx’s career ops, and foxx had the fifth highest career OPS in history

Thanks for the memories miguel
