That's great - keep them in a bubble from regular students through the season and we're good

Colorado State University has paused all football-related activities indefinitely, the school's director of athletics said, after learning of racism and verbal abuse allegations from within the Rams' athletic administration and in the football program.

This comes after Colorado State had announced earlier in the week that it had launched an investigation into its athletic department following a report alleging players had been told not to report Covid-19 symptoms or they would see reduced playing time.
Bravo.

Then you know Chapel Hill is not like some cow college in the middle of nowhere where undergrads double the size of the city from August to May.

And spring football ain't happening. No athlete who has hopes of playing in the NFL is going to participate and your asking college teams to play 20 plus games in a year.

NCAA football would have been immensely more difficult to pull off than probably any other sport. Not sure why anyone is taking issue with this.

UNC Pembroke had 9 positive cases announced today: https://wpde.com/news/local/9-cases-of- ... son-county
UNCP's website says it adjusted the Fall 2020 academic calendar to begin the term two weeks early on Aug. 5, 2020. Fall Break has been eliminated so the semester can conclude prior to Thanksgiving and reduce the opportunity for coronavirus to spread from non-essential travel.
So, if classes started the 5th, most students would be moving in on the 1,2,3...and Fall athletes a few days ahead of that. I know most schools I've heard of (including my own) are doing staggered move in days). So 10-12 days incubation period...sounds about right. Pembroke has about 5200 full time students.

Yes, Tim, despite the fact that getting an invitation to join Big 10 is like joining "Ivy League of public schools", which, for UNL - being the weakest link of Big10 - is like a winning a freaking jackpot giving them membership to the strongest academic grant lobbying body in the US - that school will for sure go back to B12...
