NFL commissioner on Colin Kaepernick: I would encourage a team to sign him

Kaep has woke himself into an untenable position. He's 4 years out of the League at this point, so the question of whether or not he can even still play is open. And now, no matter where he signs, and whether or not he can still spin it, the first bad game a starter has there will be a chorus of yahoos screaming to put Kaep in. It's the same situation Cam Newton is in now, plus a 4-year absence.

I 100% stand by my initial statement that he never wanted to play again. Every time he gets close (Ravens owner/gf gaffe, the Georgia 'tryout', etc.) he sabotages it. He makes enough off of his brand, which would be destroyed by coming back, that it doesn't make sense for him to go back to football and take headshots as a back-up QB.

Kaep as a backup QB just isn't worth the three ring circus that's gonna accompany him at this point imo.

What drives me nuts is when people make statements like "If he were Tom Brady, he wouldn't still be unemployed".

No s**t. But that has nothing to do with Brady's whiteness, you Muppet.
