Harrison's pick 6 was more impressive. Fite me irl
A more impressive play? Possibly, you could argue it. Did it win a Superb Owl? No
It stopped it from being lost?

Didn't it? It was likely a 14 point swing on that play.

It was absolutely a 14 point swing, it intercepted it on the goal line or in the actual end zone

At minimum a 10-point swing.

Situational comparison between Holmes' catch and the Harrison pick six

Holmes
2nd and goal from the six, 43 seconds left in the game, gave Steelers a 4-point lead, play ended upon the catch, giving ARI the ball back with time to get into FG range.

Harrison
1st and goal from the two, 18 seconds left in the half, and you could say the play only really began with the catch, time expired during the return, was at one time the longest single play in the history of the Superb Owl, flipped the score by at least four points (which, oh hey, was the winning margin in the end), and probably more like 14.

The Harrison INT was by far the more impactful single play. If ARI comes out for the second half up 14-10, there's no telling how that game plays out.

Also, Ben should've been MVP of that game. Same as Barrasso should've won the Conn Smythe in '92.

The athletic ability on both the throw and catch on that play puts it above the INT for me.

You don't think that Harrison rumbling for 100 yards was athletic?

lol

Would have been a hell of a 4 point FG

I think the throw and catch had a higher degree of difficulty, don't @ me. We're splitting hairs, they're both maybe top 10 SB plays ever. My original point was "The Catch" is vastly overrated

I didn’t say that. It wasn’t as athletic and impressive as Ben/Holmes, though.

It was as athletic and more impressive than the Holmes catch. Plus a better team effort and individual effort. More talent homes/ben vs more determination/effort with necessary athleticism harrison. it's A+ vs A+ though. I just watched a YouTube best plays of each super bowl last month and had this argument with myself when NFL films went with Holmes

Degree of difficulty, the Catch is something pretty much every NFL receiver should be able to pull off. The throw was the province of all-time amazing; the window he had to hit - high enough to get past three defenders, low enough that Holmes doesn't have to leave the ground - was like 1.25 ball diameters.

The Catch (Clark) is a big deal largely because of that NFL Films camera shot rather than anything actually football related.

I think it also is looked upon now as what started the 49ers Dynasty in the 80's etc. It's funny cause Dallas almost scored on the ensuing possession making that play meaningless.

I think it's funny that brother on the left is the only one that doesn't go by his initials - because he's trying to be his own man, you see - and he's the only one whose name I can never remember.
