When I was in the Marines a shipment from ServMart came in and included about 6 of these chairs. We spent all day assembling them and when you sat in them they were actually pretty comfortable. It took about 8 minutes before the first guy walked up behind someone and yanked back one of the cords and whipped whoever was sitting in it.I'd like to try one of these:

Brilliant

I know it's probably quite durable, but that chair would give me concerns about my big fat butt breaking it.

My ass would look like a washboard at the end of the day.

I have a relatively cheap chair from Office Depot that is 5 years old. I might go lobby for a new one tomorrow...

That's hilarious, man.Not every lawyer makes big coin. Lawyers are the biggest firms make big salaries, but people who work at smaller firms (and in smaller cities) make much less money. Heck, lawyers working jobs like public defender in a rural county can sometimes struggle to make $30,000. I work in a mid-size firm, and Pittsburgh is a mid-size city. I'm certainly not claiming to be poor, but I'm nowhere near six figures either.lolol, you're a lawyer, shouldn't you have like a thousand dollar chair in your home office?I bought the computer chair I use at home from Target for something like 30 bucks. The gas piston died a while back, so I bought a bunch of brass pipe clamps and clamped them around the piston so they hold the seat up.
Also, I'm a penny-pinching cheapskate. Yesterday was a dress-down day, and I was wearing khakis and a long-sleeve shirt. It occurred to me that except for my shoes (ordered from Amazon), every other article of clothing I was wearing was something I bought at Kmart.

I got a new chair. I wasn't even going to buy one now. I went to Staples to buy some pens. There was a chair standing there so I sat in it. The moment I did, I yelled to the guy.... hey, guy, I want this chair!!!!!
Wow. I like it better than my old one. It fits me so well. It's fully adjustable. It has a locking tilt, which is a must. Arm rests go up and down. The seat and the back are SO comfortable, like a perfect blend of soft and firm. And the most important thing... the ass just fits right in and is cradled by the seat/back corners.... AND it has an adjustable lower back support. You just slide it up and down and that thing is about PERFECT. I've sat in chairs that had the thing pressing on the spine (middle). I've sat in chairs that had the edges of the l.b. support part round up too wide so they didn't work. Or too soft or too hard. This thing is perfectly positioned on my lower back, pressing just right on the muscles on spine's sides. I LOVE IT. I feel like I'm having sex when I sit in the chair. My muscles actually pulsated yesterday just from sitting in it. I couldn't be happier at the moment. I'm 5'10, 170lbs.
It's on sale now, so Freddy or whoever else... go to Staples and try it. I think they made so many, they're selling a lot now, but once they sell enough it will go up in price again. Normally $230. Now $135. I had the store assemble it for $10.
