Better? Tough to say. I'm of the opinion that they don't make the Fitzpicktrick trade if Ben was healthy, and that has quite clearly been the story of this team's season. (The defense went from 'promising' to 'intimidating' in one week.) All these wins have been on the back of that defense, so it's hard to gauge; with Ben I'm sure they'd have a game or two with 30+ points, but maybe they trade that with another couple games giving up 30+.

Either way, to be sitting on the same number of wins as the KC Chiefs at this point of the season is a good thing.

Titans have a tough home stretch to end the season with the Texans twice and the Saints between those games.

The Steelers are a few plays from being 11-2. That said with all the injuries I'm still thrilled to be at 8-5

I feel like Tomlin has to greenlight that call regardless. The ST coach can call it but Tomlin can veto it etc.

Berry said it was on and called off but he didn't get the memo. Seems like that makes the most sense watching the replay and Tomlin is just taking the blame

Yeah...before the snap, the protectors all start signaling something with their hands. If that was the kill signal, not sure how Berry missed it. That does make the most sense, though. Why they had it on in the first place.......yeah I got nuthin for that one.

I'm all for aggressive play calling on special teams, and would not necessarily be against a fake in that situation. The problem here is not one single Steelers player behaved like they knew Berry was running it. It may have been called and killed, but that doesn't really help now.
