Something light for Friday discussion. I changed mine to this about a week ago, and it was one of the best moves I've made. I wake up much happier now.

I have to switch mine every few weeks because it eventually becomes associated with the nightmare of getting out of bed for work

I still use a 30 year old alarm clock, but almost always wake up a minute or two before it goes off.

I don't use my alarm to wake me up. I have a feeling I may be in the minority who turns their cell phone off every evening so I am not bothered?

I don't shut it off, but it does go into 'Do Not Disturb' mode from 11pm-6am. Only numbers I allow will ring.

I use my alarm mostly as a safety feature. I'm usually up before it goes off, but it's on just in case.

My alarm used to be the first track of the Jurassic Park soundtrack. Those loud low *BOOOOM* effects with the ominous vocal choral; I'd hear the electric pop of my boombox powering on across the room, and that'd be enough to get me out of bed before the music even started. lol

Currently, my alarm is either Mrs Tif or the doggo waking up.

Starts out nice and low so I don’t wake up my wife.

Edit:  100% truth, didn’t read tif’s post until mine posted. He’s referring to a different track, though.

But it used to be this:

Scared the **** out of me every morning. I had to change it when I moved in with my fiancé. She wasn't a fan...

Mine is one of the ditties from the app I use. It's very reminiscent of the music from one of the Super Mario Galaxy planets. Very nice ease into the day.

My wife's is one of those alarms that yells the time in some demonic sounding robot voice. It's not supposed to sound demonic, but nonetheless...utterly terrifying. Plus, it doesn't say 'it's six ten'...it says 'IT'S SIX ONE ZERO'

I guess it's effective, but gtfo with that ish.
