Can't allow any kick to the head but that tap dance kick was less vicious than flicking someone in the ear. I'm fine with his actions after something that egregious. and a small suspension since i'm more of Troy's thinking. And I'm sure he was seeing red just from the facemask rip off and then lolol honestly the helmet smash isn't that incredibly dangerous but is more a blatant no holds barred invitation and pouncey being who he is was just so damn thrilled to oblige in that glorious opportunity to throw fists at a helmet. Anyway, he and decastro may be turning into a couple of badbransons soon but there's some value in their battle level. if mason has any chance he'll need to get those guys to protect him between the whistles. hey at least he's mad he sucks and really what everyone's missing in his poor performance is that i think he made 4 tackles

If it was just the punches and take down, sure, I'm with you. But you can't kick a dude in the head.
I actually just watched the replay... he attempted to kick him. I don't think the kick actually ever made it to Garrett. Still wrong, but there's certainly a difference between attempted murder and murder.
That’s what I noticed. The kick was directed at Garrett’s head, but he connected with the back of Smiths ankle.

Intent matters almost as much as execution. If Garrett missed Rudolph's head with the helmet, we'd still be calling for the long suspension.

Neither Pouncey nor Garrett will be on the field for the rematch. My guess is Pouncey gets 3 games, Garrett gets 6.
I was actually right for once.... Pouncey gets 3 games. Garrett suspended "indefinitely" and its assumed to be at least 6 games.

Ray Rice was the last one to get the "indefinite" suspension. What happened to him?

Just about everybody with a black hat played like liquefied poo last night. While I loathe Thursday games, other teams have short weeks and manage to get their sht together. I've said this has been Tomlin's best year as a coach perhaps in his career, but this is was just an awful performance against a ho-hum team; file it away under his penchant for his teams playing down to inferior competition? I don't know, but that was terribad.

Also, Myles Garrett should get dick cancer.

Pardon me, but I'm three hours behind everyone else. So I'm still getting caught up on the commentary from around the League.

Pretty universal condemnation from everybody with a microphone so far. Current and former players and coaches alike are saying this is fairly unprecedented in their experience, and I've heard multiple guys say that this will define Garrett, not just in football, but in life. If he connects with a different part of the helmet, he quite literally could've killed Rudolph. The Browns could win five Superb Owls in a row, when you hear the name "Myles Garrett" from now on you're going to think of this incident.

Max Kellerman has delivered perhaps the worst take on this I've heard so far, up there with Freddy. Garrett was already about to get a roughing the passer PF, and fully 8 seconds elapse from that tackle to the helmet swing. Stop with that.

But it all comes down to this: Even when they win, the Browns manage to lose. Utter clownshoes.

Bad take alert: while this is bad, I think people are either tripping over themselves on social media to see who can exaggerate the most or they have short memories. This is up there but not the most dangerous thing seen in pro sports or the dirtiest play as I have seen some people say. Bertuzzi on Moore, Mcsorely, Haynesworth stomping on faces.. This happens every 5 years or so and everyone acts shocked.. It's bad. He should be suspended for a year.. But let's not pretend thst pro sports doesn't see behavior like this.

Yeah this is worse than Haynesworth. It's the worst football play in recent memory at the least

Yeah, this is comparable to those hockey plays.

Even Joe Buck said so. And he witnessed Randy Moss fake mooning the Lambeau crowd. So you know it was bad.

This is actually beneficial for the NFL, this is a one time play that seemingly covered up the other penalty that made Johnson bleed from the ear it was so bad. Nobody is even talking about how bad that hit was.

Mcsorely is the first thing I thought of, not sure how this isn't as bad.

The NFL is a league populated by some of the morally worst people we have in this country. I am no longer surprised by the actions of any of them on or off the field.
