So they (wrongly, imo) institute a rule in response to an egregiously bad non-call. And the response is for refs to double down on their awfulness and not use the rule as intended. This is just indefensible at this point.

If they did nothing, we’d still have bad calls. Having bad calls and not admitting the badness? Some refs may lose their jobs
