Love driving out to Pittsburgh first thing in the morning. From our home on the Lancaster/Chester County line, we can be there in under four hours. The only bad part is spending like 40 bucks on the Turnpike.

You could always take Route 30 and experience the scenic joys of the Lincoln Highway...

Need some recommendations on where to go and rent a nice cabin/house for a bachelor party. Looking for 3-4 hours drive max from PIT. Would like decent amenities, like hot tub would be awesome. Close to golf and fishing but private enough to have a fire and stuff at night. Any recommendations? Poconos?

Deep creek MD. Not sure on Golf.

Cheat Lake WV has Mountainview golf right there which is a fun bach party course

Check out the Berkeley Springs area. There are houses/cabins on the golf course.

Those are options but so played out with our group... Probably been to each 10 or more times.

Absolutely Hocking Hills

But again I don’t know about golf- must be courses in Athens or Lancaster if not Logan I would think.

I've been that way once and enjoyed it. Not with a 5 year old though, even if she is a great traveler ;)

I've never had a bad stay at the Marriott downtown. And they do a great job turning the rooms around, we were able to check in at 1130.

Looks like there's one in Logan. It doesn't have to be a nice course. Average would be fine.

There are some nice places there just not many with 4 beds or more. I'm on AirBnB any other websites to check?

We have stayed at Blue Rose Cabins and I want to say Valley View maybe? Recently Valley View has better reviews on tripadvisor than Blue Rose but we enjoyed both.

Looking at taking the Amtrak to Philly in March... anyone (paging @shafnutz05 ) ever taken the train into philly from central PA? Everything I'm reading online seems like it's not worth it to upgrade to business class. Anyone have guesses on leg room?

Don't upgrade. The only upgrades worth anything are sleeping rooms and unless you're going on an overnight train that also isn't necessary. Amtrak coach seats are larger than a Greyhound bus or airline coach seat. Now I've only been on the long distance trains but I don't believe there is much of a difference. You should be able to Google the name of the train + coach and find lots of photos.

Sitting in a coach seat from Philly to DC right now.

Plenty big unless you have really long legs.

No upgrade needed

I'm 6'5"... I can fit (uncomfortably, but fit) in a plane seat no problem. I'm assuming there's more legroom than a coach plane seat?

Yep, spent a night or two there about 15 years ago, the pictures tell me it was beautiful. Don't pass up Big Sky Brewing Moose Drool.

What blackjack and nocera said. Absolutely no need to upgrade. And if you're lucky people will avoid sitting next to you because of your stature. I love taking the train.

Question for all of yinz experienced travelers. We're looking at doing a Eurotrip vacation next year. We have Capital One and Chase travel cards and I really don't feel like closing one and reopening it in a couple months (or however long) just to churn so points. Are any of the airlines credit cards and their 50,000+ mile bonuses worth the effort? To me airline miles and their restrictions and blackout periods and their ever changing point values and whatever the hell else all end up seeming like bullshit to me.
