@nocera do you still have the Disney app on your phone?

My wife sent me an article talking about how Epcot/Magic Kingdom were completely filled to capacity for New Year's Eve day. Holy sht, the wait times. FOUR HOURS for Test Track, lol.
I’ve been following closely since my fiancé has been banging on about going to WDW for Christmas. I’ve held my phone in front of her showing her these ridiculous wait times multiple times this week. The big rides are obviously unreal but what gets me are the waits for smaller ones like Jungle Cruise at 125 min or Living with the Land at 90 minutes.

We generally go in the summer and waits can get up there but like NTP said if you know what you’re doing and can work the FP system you never have to wait more than 20 minutes. I wouldn’t go near WDW during the holidays though.

I'm a fan of WDW in late October/early November. Weather is decent, and the waits were never unreasonable. Careful planning makes a hefty difference, though.

My neighbor just got back from WDW (Christmas week), and when I asked how it was, I think I hit a nerve because she cringed.

Did she just not know what she was getting herself into? I can’t understand why anyone would knowingly put themselves in that situation.

She did, yes. It was literally the only week her and her husband could get off this year at the same time (new jobs for both).

Ah okay. Still though, unless I’m DVC or decide to move to Orlando, there’s no way I could do it.

I wouldn’t ever go during Christmas week. Good lord, why would you do that to yourself?

The most stress-free time I've ever had a Disney was on Thanksgiving Day in 1999 or something. There was no traffic, there was no one at the park, and it was the first time I ever saw Mickey in person.

yeah, this is something I'm keeping in mind with any significant travel. Like, if I go to Europe again, I'm absolutely not going in the summer. Rome was a circus in August

It's not really that much work. I'd spend more time on dining reservations, than Fast Passes, though.

I can only imagine. August would be peak time for tourists with kids.

August is when most Europeans take their own holidays, so it is to be expected that the entire region is going be mostly a madhouse.

Early fall or early spring, imo.

I went to WDW in early December and it was a good time. It was decorated for Christmas amd the lines were all manageable. I definitely still used fastpass and made dinner reservations way ahead of time in order to make sure we'd be able to eat at the more popular restaurants.

Early December is actually a great time to go. You miss the Thanksgiving crowd and get in before the Christmas madness.

Well when I saw your screen name, I figured one or more of the following:

1) You were a wrestling fan
2) You were from Kane, PA
3) Your name was Kane
