Got to go see the U-boat at the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry. I missed it when I was last in Chicago (ugh, 20 years ago already. Got to see Sammy Sosa hit a long home run in person though).

My train gets into NYC (penn station) at 5, my flight out of JFK is at 10:20. So if I give myself an hour and a half through security and 45 minutes to get to the airport, by my calculations, that's 3 hours or so to get dinner somewhere. Any suggestions? I'll have my luggage with me (suitcase and a messenger bag).

Frontera is delicious but I don’t know that they have any offerings that a non-Mexican five year old would be down with. You might get more mileage out of Xoco, which is kind of like a fast eats restaurant next door. It’s primary tacos and tortas, which still might not work, but it’s absolutely worth going there for the churros and hot chocolate.

Huh, for some reason I thought Xoco was further out, like West Loop area.

According to Google Maps it is a 66 foot walk.

We landed at O'Hare 45 minutes ago. After taxiing for 15 minutes from a runway that was about three miles from the terminal, we have been sitting completely motionless for a half hour. I fcking hate air travel and large airports.

Haha yeah, about typical. This is the first time I've landed here...i think. Flew into Midway last time. The sheer size of that place is difficult to fathom.

Were you sitting a few rows behind me on my flight from ATL to PHL yesterday? It was pretty windy, and our A320 dipped real quick a few times causing the roller coaster sensation, and an entire row behind us was treating it like a ride. It was hilarious.

California man, 65, dies following reported shark attack at Ka’anapali Beach Park

Aaaand now my wife doesn’t want to go into the water, as this attack was apparently only 69 yards offshore.

That's actually pretty far off shore for an attack on a non-surfer.

We are doing the Tilt attraction at the top of the Hancock Tower tomorrow. Should be fun.

That’s fun and a bit nerve wracking for sure, but if it’s a clear day it’s exhilarating!

Be sure to stop by Streeter’s Pub (couple blocks from there) and use the bathroom. Just do it. Don’t ask questions.

Where did you get your Chicago Dog from?

I like Downtown Dogs and if you happen to be drinking at Pippin’s Pub or the aforementioned Streeters, you can order food from them. And the make a pretty good Italian Beef sandwich too.

If you had to fly from Pittsburgh to Charlotte and you had four options as your one-stop change which one would you pick (price is same):

1) Philadelphia (American)

2) Washington-Dulles (United)

3) LaGuardia (American)

4) Atlanta (Delta)

IMO, Philadelphia. It'll be easier getting from gate to gate there than the other three.

How much more for the direct?

Avoiding any of the above is worth something.

If you must connect any of the above except LGA should be ok.
