Source of the post Absolutely. Toronto, Quebec, Montreal.
Having just visited Quebec and Montreal, and having been to Toronto many times, Quebec by a landslide.

I'm a national park junkie, so I'd go with Acadia in Maine if you want to stay stateside.

Probably the most beautiful place I've ever been.

I'd say Nashville because that's at the top of the list for places I haven't been yet. I'll have to think on the best of what I've been to so far
Nashville is a great town but IMO there's not really 3-4 days worth of stuff to do there, especially in the Summer.

I've got to go with Boston. lots of great stuff to do in Boston itself and if you have a rental car you can do things like drive up to New Hampshire and eat at a lobster pound (Markey's is great http://www.markeyslobsterpool.com/ as is Brown's, right across the street http://brownslobsterpound.com/index.php)
also nearby is the boardwalk in Salisbury Beach, MA. delightfully tacky boardwalk. :)

I like Boston a lot as a vacation destination but didn't bother offering it up because of the hatorade that flows through this place. ;)

I spent my R&R in 2011 there.

Boston is great if you remove all of its inhabitants.

Maine for sure. We loved going up there when Mrs. F and I lived in Boston #Massholes

Portland is underrated, spend a day there, head up the coast to Bar Harbor and Acadia. Went for a boat ride in Boothbay Harbor.

Yosemite is the most beautiful place I have been but doing it in a 3-4 day trip out of Cleveland is a stretch with the longer flights and what it takes to get out there.

any recommendations for dinners in nyc? mrs litt and i are making a trip for a long weekend. budget isn't a huge determining factor (would like to keep it below 250 total)
Mrs Tif and I have wanted to do a long weekend trip to NYC and we have a list of restaurants we want to visit. It's like 20+ places, so our 'long weekend' is more like a month.

If I had to pick just one, it'd be Le Bernardin. That's probably a bit more spendy than you're talking about, so maybe look into Momofuku Ssam Bar.
mrs litt not a big fan of the fishes
had a good weekend eating our way through town. we did make our way to Manhatta: https://www.manhattarestaurant.com/ which was splendid. the prix fixe with gratuity included for the view on the 60th floor in the financial district for 76 dollars is unrivaled. tremendous experience all around.

Yeah, December in NYC is on my "must do soon" list...I remember going several times as a wee lad, Radio City Music Hall's Christmas show, tree at Rockefeller Center, FAO Schwartz, etc. Now I want to go and do grownup things...

Agreed. We visited between Christmas and New Year's one year and had a blast. Ice skating in Central Park while it snowed was surreal.

I'm about 40 min east of Wilkes-Barre for work. Of course the WBS Pens are out of town. Binghampton is about 40 min north, and they are also out of town. If I reaaaaally wanted to drive, the Elmira Enforcers (FHL) are about a 90 min drive away. Lucky for me, they too are out of town.

But seriously, there is nothing for me to do here. Luckily I get to make the 5.5 hr drive back to Pittsburgh tomorrow.

Update: one year later, Michigan still sucks. But luckily it's just a day trip this time. I will be home in time for dinner and my men's league game tonight...

@nocera do you still have the Disney app on your phone?

My wife sent me an article talking about how Epcot/Magic Kingdom were completely filled to capacity for New Year's Eve day. Holy sht, the wait times. FOUR HOURS for Test Track, lol.

this is my biggest gripe with popular amusement parks/rides. The lines are always insufferable and you spent most of the day just waiting around in the sun to go on a ride that last a few minutes

Disney over the holiday is a different beast, but most of the time it's all manageable if you plan ahead and use your FastPasses wisely. We only waited more than 15 minutes for a ride twice last October.
