This Duck **** is insufferable. Announcers just love to drive stuff into the ground. It's the new James Cancer (though Collinsworth did equate fighting for a 3rd down conversion to beating cancer, so....)

I'm not watching the game. Did the announcers at least mention that it was completely suboptimal to go for 1 on the last Chargers TD?

(I'm asking because a few weeks ago I saw a college game announcer questioning why a team went for 2 in the same situation...)

That's awesome. And wait a second, only 18k announced? Doesn't that soccer stadium seat 27k? So the Chargers can't sell out a soccer stadium, which is the smallest venue by far in the NFL, even with 14k Steelers fans buying tickets?

The league bungled LA so badly. It was so simple. Move the Raiders back to LA. Nobody in LA cared about the Rams and definitely not the Chargers.

Will see if the shiny new billion dollar stadium they are building that both the Chargers/Rams will play in will help attendance or not I guess. I feel like in LA it's hard to have a hardcore fanbase and everyone just kind of roots for a hodgepodge of teams.

Eh. The Lakers and Dodgers have hardcore fanbases. Kings have a solid fanbase as well but not to the level of those two teams. If the Rams and Chargers find success and win a championship or two, the fans will come. But it won't be due to that new stadium. The only thing that'll get them is the chance to host a Super Bowl and Wrestlemania.

I'm not so sure. The response to the Rams being in the Super Bowl recently was milquetoast, outside of the hardcore fans.
