I came into this thread to read the lol's, and stopped at Nostradamus here. Thanks shad.I feel strangely optimistic...which obv means they will lose in heartbreaking fashion. I'm guessing we take the lead with two minutes left, give up a game winning drive with a Tucker 43 yarder.

Mike P. on DVE said this morning that, this was the discussion in camp between him and some talent scout. That there was serious discussion between Hodges outplaying Rudolph, and Dobbs just being turds.i dont disagreeHot take: Hodges looked better than Rudolph

I will say that there was a noticeable drop off between the Seahawks game and the 9ers game for Mason as they had a week to prepare for him. So let's see if the same happens to Duck. But he sure didn't look too shabby

The Oline was spectacular in protecting Hodges. He was thrust into a game they were behind in (like Rudolph) and he had early success and no pressure. His confidence was obvious (goofing and laughing on the sideline and patient in the pocket) and he looked great for a debut.
Like said above though - wait until he's gameplanned for. And I actually mean that mostly from the Steelers game plan. Spend the week reminding him that he has no business being good yet and drill him not to turn the ball over. Baby him for a few quarters and just throw 1 yd passes so he can get comfortable taking snaps in the big scary NFL
But anyway he definitely doesn't have the same easy deep ball as Rudolph or the stature or pedigree (draft pos) so it makes sense that he could outperform Rudolph but not get the backup gig.

The way Josh Allen was rushed through concussion protocol, I could expect Rudolph playing on Sunday.

The first few were funny. But the joke is over played
