Just so my prediction carries over:
Dave Dombrowski - fired. Neal Huntington - still gainfully employed. What a world.
Weekend series with a Cards did good for Nutting's wallet on the fake attendance numbers. Now 444 ahead of last year with 9 home games to go, including a series with the Cubs and a weekend series with the Reds. Need to average less than 11,287 per game to fall below last season.
Saw this awesome headline on the Pirates website:I mean ****, at this point I expect nearly the entire roster to stay the same for 2020.Bucs' starting INF likely to remain same in 2020
Williams
Musgrove
Brault
Archer
Keller
One of their many scrub bullpen arms
Stratton
Crick
Feliz
Rodriguez
Santana
Kela
Vazquez
Stallings
Bell
Frazier
Moran
Newman
Reynolds
Marte
Polanco
Diaz
EGon
Osuna
Reyes/Martin

Frazier will be the second baseman again.
Polanco will be back in RF, but hopefully they bring in a real outfielder that could potentially push him to the bench.
If Marte is traded, I don't think you can do that in isolation, either you rebuild or go for it. I can't get behind just moving Marte for spare parts (cause he's not going to get a significant return).
Assuming the Pirates sit on their asses again this offseason, I think it will look something like:
C: Stallings/platoon partner
1B: Bell
2B: Frazier
SS: Newman (Tucker at some point)
3B: Moran/scrub (eventually Hayes)
LF: Reynolds
CF: Marte
RF: Polanco/something between Melky and Chisenhall
SP: Archer
SP: Musgrove
SP: Williams
SP: Brault/Keller
SP: Probably something higher than a reclamation project (I assume Vazquez being in jail voids his contract)
RP: Kela will be the closer, then, god knows
They are currently in the 55 million range for payroll as the club stands. They would have to easily double that to fix the pitching staff, but then you are still looking at an iffy offense.

I guess that depends on what they actually have in Reynolds and Newman. I think Bell and Marte can atleast play the part of middle of the order bats, but if Newman and Reynolds are actually 650-750 OPS guys, as opposed to the 800+ OPS guys they were this year, then the lineup is crap. They're gonna lose 100 games next year.
I think with the pitching, they can't possibly be worse, and a not brain dead coaching staff will atleast get Archer back to an innings eating 4 ERA guy. The prospects of Kela anchored bullpen is scary, so any notion they fancy themselves trying, they need to add a closer or setup guy.

As much as he irritates me he is actually a decent manager. Always wondered if he'd be one of the characters that you love on your side and hate when they aren't. Hopefully I don't find out cause he's a ******

They're gonna suck so bad next year. Reynolds may repeat his performance because he's hit 300 everywhere his entire life. But Newman will suck and Bell will regress even a little bit. I predict Marte just quits giving whatever shts he has left and that'll hurt. Ain't gonna be pretty

So this very prominent former member of the organization will allow dejean to copy and paste a gd text message but wont go public with their grievances? *insert jerking it motion here*
Sidebar: this kind of stunt is right up peduto’s alley (grandstanding, will pander to the common masses, won’t have any actual consequence to an action, etc) so i fully expect it to happen.

Dejan is a pathetic loser. His livelihood seems tied to the pirates being bad.
