Have you seen Martell's girlfriend? He is winning imo
Hot damn.

BTW, I haven't really followed him. I know he transferred from tOSU to Miami and couldn't win the job.

But has he been spouting off or something? Recap anyone?
First became a national name because Steve Sarkasian - then at Washington - offered him when Martell was 14 years old and Martell committed. He later de-committed from UW to commit to A&M in 2015, then de-committed from there to commit to Ohio State.

He redshirted at Ohio State in 2017, played a bit as a redshirt freshman in 2018 and then left this past offseason when Justin Fields transferred in from Georgia.

Shortly after Fields announced he was leaving Georgia and as rumors ramped up that he was headed to tOSU, Martell posted a tweet that read: "Word of advice...don't swing and miss...especially not your second time." It was inferred that this was directed at Fields.

Martell transferred to Miami shortly after Fields was granted immediate eligibility at Ohio State.

They were talking about him on SiriusXM ESPNU radio yesterday evening and one of the hosts said she interviewed him in high school as he was one of the nation's most highly-publicized recruits. Apparently Martell came off as a jackass and his parents were described as "high maintenance" when it came to his recruitment.

For whatever it's worth, Miami's long snapper Mason Napper posted a photo on Snapchat yesterday of Martell's U-Miami nameplate laying on the locker room floor with the caption "RIP The Dream". There are some unconfirmed reports that Martell had a meltdown in the locker room after being told yesterday that he wasn't going to be the opening starter, and that he was absent from practice yesterday because of it.
My wife (who really is a bigger CFB than I am) stumbled upon QB1, a Netflix documentary that follows big name high school QBs around. Martell (and Jake Fromm) were on the first season. My wife was disgusted at Martell as a high school student. It seems he's gotten worse.

Just posting while Rutgers is up by 10. I just won't get that chance a lot, so here I am.

Also, Player 18 (WR) will be good...

Looks like the Charlie Strong era at USF is going to be short.

Likewise Kevin Sumlin at Arizona.

The loss of Whipple is obviously huge for UMass.

Who had it the worst this weekend?

-Tennessee for losing at home to Georgia State, a team that went 2-10 last year
-Florida State for yakking an 18-pt lead to Boise at home, adding another nail to Willie Taggart’s coffin
-Oregon for clanking a 21-6 3rd qtr lead including allowing a TD pass with :09 left to a freshman QB
-Idaho and Howard for both giving up 79 points apiece (at least Howard had a short bus ride home)

I'm going with Tennessee. The FSU and Oregon gacks were vs very good teams. Idaho and Howard, FCS teams vs FBS although I'm not sure there's ever an excuse to lose to the Terps by 79.

I have no idea where that Georgia State loss came from for the Vols.

In addition to Auburn/Oregon I really enjoyed the Wyoming/Missouri game yesterday. Tigers went up 14 early, then Wyoming went up 17 before stopping them late for the win.

Which begs the question why a team like Missouri would ever go on the road to Wyoming. You can’t gameplan for that altitude and it’s a no-win game in perception.

Big debut for Jalen Hurts in Sooner Nation....

Better NFL prospect for you: Tua Tag or Hurts or neither, I suppose is valid too.

Tag will be out of the league in 5 years. Jalen might have a role as a receiver. So by default... Hurts.

I don't even think Tua hangs around for 5...I think he's 2 or 3 and out...Hurts I have a little more time for, but I don't know at what position...

Same reason Syracuse went to Liberty, which is “I have no idea.”

My Thundering Herd played great tonight and lost at Boise 14-7. Totally shut down the team that beat Florida State, which probably says more about the Seminoles.

Would love to see Army pull this off. I feel like Michigan will get it together after halftime.

Also, are Maryland decent this year?
