Yeah I would say Rudloph is the easy answer. Hodges is a nobody that will disappear in a few weeks back into the unknown.

Miami should also be the best scenario to work Rudolph back into the thick of it.

I bet the league wishes they could flex the Steelers/Dolphins game off of Monday night.

I would love for that game to be moved to 1 pm.

Assuming Mason is healthy who do you start vs Miami?
Mason, Hodges is a great story, but there's almost no pro arm talent there it seems.

Agreed. I like Hodges and he seems to have the mental makeup and talent to make himself a career as a reliable backup, but the dude has 1-AA arm strength.

Yup. Unfortunately for ESPN, once they lost the rights to SNF, they lost the ability to flex games. Whatever they set their schedule up as at the start of the year, that's what they get.

I know Mason seems like the logical answer but

Chargers can't do anything right.

https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/278 ... orary-home
"It was crazy," Chargers running back Melvin Gordon told the Los Angeles Times. "They started playing their theme music. I don't know what we were doing -- that little soundtrack, what they do on their home games. I don't know why we played that.

"I don't know what that was. Don't do that at our own stadium ... It already felt like it was their stadium ... I don't understand that."

Added offensive lineman Forrest Lamp: "We're used to not having any fans here. It does suck, though, when they're playing their music in the fourth quarter. We're the ones at home. I don't know who's in charge of that but they probably should be fired."

The Rick Roll is funny. Gordon needs to lighten up about that. Now, Lamp's comment about not having any fans there, blame your dumbass owner. Nobody wanted the Chargers in LA. They will always be the place for transients to see their hometown teams play.

I noted the Rickroll in the game thread, it was a solid drag.

They had two other inadvertent (I'm guessing) self-drags. Being October, that means the NFL is pandering to moms who sign athletic permission slips for their kids to play football. LAC handed out pink towels for breast cancer awareness, and during halftime they encouraged fans to 'wave their towels'... you can guess how that went. Then later, they had a 7-8 year old kid they were 'interviewing' on the sideline in an obvious setup gag, and they asked him to say something nice about Pittsburgh, and he said, "They have nice ketchup"......... apparently unaware that 1) the frickin' stadium is named after the ketchup, 2) as if any of the yinzer diaspora that made up 90% of the crowd does not love the everloving sht out of some Heinz, and 3) that such a remark would not elicit more of said towel waving.

In all honesty, I kinda felt bad for the Chargers players.

I am pretty sure he would have been cleared earlier but the optics of that would've looked really bad on the NFL/Stillers

He was probably cleared by the league on his walk back to the tunnel after taking the hit.

He’s great at beelining it to the sidelines for a 4 yard return.
