Bird deaths down 70 percent after painting wind turbine blades
Something as simple as black paint could be the key to reducing the number of birds that are killed each year by wind turbines. According to a study conducted at a wind farm on the Norwegian archipelago of Smøla, changing the color of a single blade on a turbine from white to black resulted in a 70-percent drop in the number of bird deaths.
No word on whether or not the black paint will also lead to a drop in cancer prognoses.

FBI worried that Ring doorbells are spying on police
Hacked documents suggest that the FBI is concerned some people may be using Ring or other smart doorbells to watch the police.
The papers describe a 2017 incident where someone remotely watched live footage of police preparing to serve a search warrant.
The information was found online by The Intercept among hacked documents.
Previously, privacy advocates have raised concerns about data from smart doorbells being shared with police.
The hacked papers, known collectively as BlueLeaks, were stolen from more than 250 police websites.

Heh, our neighborhood facebook page posted a video of a sheriff’s deputy that would stop by a neighbor’s house and play with their dogs a couple of days a week while he was out on patrol. Nothing malicious on either side, just the deputy liked playing with these dogs for a few minutes each day.

There was a police shooting here in LA recently, and it was captured by someone's Ring doorbell.

The true size of a gigantic prehistoric megalodon shark that ruled the oceans millions of years ago has been revealed for the first time -- and it had teeth as big as hands, and a fin as tall as a human adult.
Researchers at the University of Bristol, in southwestern England, and at the Swansea University, in south Wales, used mathematical calculations to work out the size of the megalodon shark from rare fossil remains of its teeth.
That’s just amazing.
