Having a daughter that rides the bus makes me a lot more aware of the absolute idiot aggressive drivers out there that go flying around buses, etc. Thankfully my daughter is picked up and dropped off in our neighborhood which is a cul-de-sac, so we do not deal with the busy road stuff. Still, it's always in the back of my mind.

The big jump in COVID-19 infections and virus deaths reported today by the Chinese government, IMO, might lend more credence to the simmering rumors that the number of deaths is far higher than reported. China said the big jump came because they are now counting cases diagnosed through chest imaging and other medical tests. Before, they were only counting people who tested positive for the virus. But what about the (potentially millions) of people who might be sick at home and have not been tested? And if someone dies at home and not in a hospital, have they been doing postmortem tests to determine whether the decedent had COVID-19, or are they just shipping the body off to the local mortuary/crematorium?

I don't know, but what happens at the Olympics? Are the Olympics only male and female or are transgenders accepted? I know they said they will accept no political stuff but we will see.

They've been allowed for 15 years and since the 2016 Games in Rio they have to pass a blood test for low testosterone for I think it's 1 year prior to the competition and throughout.

The difficult thing for them to come to grips with is that the Games are often awarded to countries that don't have legal recognition of transgender people, not assuring fairness in the competition.

Hey thanks, I don't watch the Olympics much, but I had no idea they have been accepted that long. I got on Google and read about a lot of controversy happening now about the issue. I'm guessing it is mostly transgender women not transgender men that are competing. Glad I'm not involved.

Yup. Primarily because transgender "female to male" athletes don't stand a chance against athletes that are biologically male. Whereas with the inverse, they have the advantage.

The body of 6-year-old Faye Swetlik, missing since Monday after vanishing outside her home in South Carolina, was found Thursday, authorities said.

"It is with extremely heavy hearts that we are announcing that we found a body that the coroner has identified as Faye Marie Swetlik," Chief Byron Snellgrove of the Cayce Department of Public Safety said at a news conference.

Snellgrove said police are treating the case as a homicide. Her autopsy will be conducted Saturday, according to the Lexington County Coroner's Office.

"At this time no arrests have been made," Snellgrove said, adding "we need you to know that this is a fluid investigation and we are working diligently."

A deceased male was also found during the search, the police chief said, and the investigation is only beginning.
He assured residents the area was safe and took no questions.

Transgender sports, in Missouri:
If you're a female transitioning to male, you can immediately play on a boys team.
If you're a male transitioning to female, you can stay on the male team or compete on a female team after 1 year of testosterone reduction therapy.

Seems fairly logical, and in step with what the IAAF is doing.

The two athletes mentioned in the lawsuit have said they are transitioning, but are unwilling to provide information about where in the process they are.
