Don't be like me and wait until you're over 40 to experience Costco.Source of the post Never been in a Costco.

Costco is too far away for me to drive to on a semi-regular basis. Sam's club is much closer...so it wins by default.

That's the one thing that pisses me off about where I live. No Sams/Costco within 25 minutes

It’s funny because I have two Costcos within a 10 minute drive either way.

We lived in between two Costcos up north. We only have one nearby now, but it is part of a complex that includes one indoor and one outdoor mall, and multiple strip malls that between them have all the retail and food options one could ever need to sustain life in the 21st century. There's even a Tesla store, so you can buy cars there.

I don't live in the country by any means haha. It’s funny because I have two Costcos within a 10 minute drive either way.

I just looked from my house to Costco it's about 30 minutes. I'm not driving to the waterfront unless I have a reason, and Costco is not a reason haha.
Sam's club is about 14 minutes from my house.

There's probably 2 of each within 30 minutes of me. We're just at the epicenter of nothingness. It’s funny because I have two Costcos within a 10 minute drive either way.

I'm almost to the point where it would make sense to make the drive. Kids are like termites when they open the pantry. A clear line of destruction from pantry to table. And they're only 6 and 8 with a 2 year old right behind them.

Our Costco is 15-20 minutes away, and I'd drive further if required.

I tweeted to Costco during COVID and asked them why they didn't have a scan and go app. they said that their checkout lines moved so fast that they didn't think it was needed. I asked if they had seen the lines in their stores but they didn't answer back.Yeah, self-checkout FTW. What kind of psychopath enjoys sitting in line? I wish Costco had a mobile app to scan items as you add to your cart to make checkout quicker, but for now self-checkout works just fine.

https://www.wsj.com/articles/adnan-syed ... 1663163015Not sure if anyone here listened to Serial or followed this case.
https://www.cnn.com/2019/11/25/politics ... index.htmlThe Supreme Court on Monday declined to review the case of Adnan Syed, whose murder conviction was the focus of the first season of the popular "Serial" podcast.
Prosecutors in Baltimore are asking a judge to vacate Adnan Syed’s conviction for the 1999 murder of Hae Min Lee, a case that riveted America when it was turned into the hit first season of the podcast “Serial.”
The state’s attorney for Baltimore City said in a motion filed Wednesday in circuit court that a nearly yearlong investigation, conducted with the defense, found new evidence, including information concerning the possible involvement of two alternative suspects.
Prosecutors are requesting Mr. Syed be given a new trial. They said they weren’t asserting that Mr. Syed is innocent. “However, for all the reasons set forth below, the State no longer has confidence in the integrity of the conviction,” said the office of Baltimore State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby, which is overseeing the reinvestigation.

IME, even in long lines, they have moved pretty quickly. During pandemic panic buying combined with a prediction of snow two winters ago, I was in Costco and the line was to the back of the store and still got done in less than 20 minutes. Most days I’m out in less than four minutes.

The shthead that ran his car into the parade in Waukesha has been defending himself, and it has predictably been a total mess for the duration. The judge has been admirable dealing with his nonstop pseudo-legal nonsense.
