Why not put the bag of fireworks ten feet away from where you are setting them up? Makes perfect sense.

Apparently, there was a DoorDash glitch yesterday which allowed people to order stuff and not pay for it. Saw some screenshots of absurd orders. 100% change DD tries to force those transactions to go through with the users' banks.

As they should. It would be like an error bank deposit and taking out the money and thinking you get to keep it.

Somebody posted a photo of thousands of dollars worth of liquor, then another guy with like 5 boxes of Plan B.

My first thought when I saw one post about it was you get free food and your first thought is McDonald's?

That McDonalds photo is really old, definitely not from last night's glitch. But you know damn well that somebody ordered McDonald's for free.

I know I've probably said this before, but we order food to be delivered at least once a week. Doordash, grubhub, or from the restaurant directly. They leave it at the front door..and I don't have to talk to anyone. It's glorious.

I have this weird thing about delivery. I don't like how long it takes. I'm paranoid the food will be cold. Or it will be in some dudes grimy car. I much prefer pick up. As an added bonus it gets me out of the house for ten minutes.

I'm a new food delivery convert, but I totally get this. Time alone in the car, where I'm not racing off to work or have a kid complaining about the music? It's blissfulAs an added bonus it gets me out of the house for ten minutes.
That being said, I love not having to call a restaurant, read my order 2-3 times (for them to still get it wrong), spell my name 3x (my surname is THREE frickin letters, yet it's always spelled wrong), etc. With the delivery apps, you can watch a live map of your food getting picked up and delivered. We've had very good luck with food being delivered quickly and still hot, even in peak Myrtle Beach tourism season.
Of course, I've learned only to use the restaurant's preferred delivery apps because (I think I learned this here) some apps call the restaurant after your order and pick it up/deliver, and the restaurant has no idea who the actual end customer is. That's sketchy as hell.

Same, I hate phoning in orders. There are a select few places I will do that with. I prefer to order online and then pick it up.

Same. Online order and pick up is my preferred method. Pick up is simple when it’s prepaid.

We call to order food from our favorite Italian place, but that’s it. Everywhere else, it’s DoorDash.

Somewhere (it may have been here), I saw a poll (sorry NTP I know you don't like polls anymore) of drivers and a high % admitted to sampling food they were delivering.I have this weird thing about delivery. Yeah, most of the places I order from seal the bag in some form or another. I don't live in a shitbag area, so that also helps.

Yeah all of our stuff comes sealed whether it be from DD or from the restaurant directly.
