Sounds like AB might be dabbling with Moorish Nationalism. That's a black offshoot of the sovcit movement that believes something along the lines of: (1) black Moors were among the earliest settlers of what is now the United States; (2) black today people are all actually descended from those Moors; (3) a fictional treaty between Morocco and the US in 1787 basically grants them immunity from U.S. law as foreign nationals; and (4) because they are foreign nationals, they don't have to comply with US laws for paying taxes, registering their cars, having drivers licenses, etc., and many of them have taken to squatting in houses on the basis that any unoccupied house reverts to being pre-US "Moorish" property, which they have the right to occupy. I want to say there was recently a squatting case in Fox Chapel that was clearly a Moorish sovcit doing it.

Moors like to change their names (without legal process, of course, because the laws don't apply to them) to something that includes “Bey” or “El” or both in it somewhere, so AB using the name "Antonio El-Allah" is a pretty big signal.

He probably did the same thing that pretty much every sovcit has done: he read some utter gibberish bullcrap on the internet and decided to follow it. Based on AB's prior behavior and actions, he does seem to be stupid enough to do something like that.

I guess this is non political what with him being primarily a figurehead and all, but.... This post is the most I have thought about yesterday's coronation.

My mom is approximately 25% British and had her Union Jack displayed yesterday. 75 year olds gonna do what they gonna do, I guess.

Maybe if the dude was more interesting, I don't know.

Fun fact: Morocco was the first country to recognize the independence of the United States, and the U.S. government has a treaty with Morocco that pre-dates the Constitution. I don't think it says any of that stuff, though.
