I'm just imagining Stephen Merchant as St Peter explaining to one of these folks in 2080 that their passage to everlasting salvation has been road blocked by some unfortunate grammatical errors in their paperwork.

JFC, What the hell is wrong with these individuals?

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/articl ... ttack.html
A superintendent, school principal, assistant principal and two coaches at a $13,000-per-year Christian school were arrested for failing to report an attack that saw a ninth-grade boy raped with a baseball bat by an older student on 'freshman initiation day' as other students looked on and cheered.

Midland Christian School Superintendent Jared Owen Lee, 41, secondary school Principal Dana Elizabeth Ellis, 42, assistant secondary school principal Matthew David Counts, 27, athletic director Gregory Neal McClendon, 55, and baseball coach Barry Lee Russell, 62, were all charged on Wednesday with failure to report with intent to conceal neglect or abuse, a felony in the state of Texas.

All five employees were released on $5,000 bonds on Wednesday.

The tenth-grade student who carried out the attack, who was not named due to his status as a minor, was arrested on Thursday, police said.

OH MY

A teen ate leftover rice and noodles. Hours later, doctors amputated his legs and fingers

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/hea ... 890754001/
Hours after eating improperly stored leftovers from a restaurant, a 19-year-old was admitted to the hospital with multiple organ failure and had both his legs and all his fingers amputated.

The Massachusetts college student had eaten rice, chicken and lo mein from a restaurant. Soon after, he felt abdominal pain and his skin turned a shade of purple, according to a report by The New England Journal of Medicine.

The teenager was admitted to a hospital for "shock, multiple organ failure, and rash,” and his condition quickly declined. He experienced abnormal breathing, high blood pressure and vomiting. The student had been healthy overall with regular drinking and smoking habits, the report said.

After further tests, he was diagnosed with meningococcal purpura fulminan disease, which caused his stiff neck, nausea, respiratory collapse, shock and organ failure, according to the report. Purpura fulminan is a rare complication that comes with septic shock, which the college student experience, according to the report.

The condition is caused by bacteria and brings symptoms such as sudden fever and vomiting. The Centers for Disease and Control Prevention warns it can “lead to death in as little as a few hours.”

Over the course of his hospital stay, his condition worsened and he developed necrosis, the death of tissue and cells. At that point, doctors had to amputate his legs and fingers, according to the report. He also needed a pacemaker for 13 days to treat his cardiac dysfunction.

Experts have warned against the dangers of improperly storing leftover rice because items such as rice and pasta contain a bacterium called Bacillus cereus. The bacteria produces a toxin when heated and left out too long, according to the CDC. In 2008, a teenager died in his sleep after eating leftover pasta that wasn't refrigerated overnight, a case that was reported in the Journal of Clinical Microbiology.

The medical team learned that although the Massachusetts student had received a first dose of the meningococcal vaccine, he never received the recommended booster. His roommate also ate the leftover food and vomited but didn't have life-threatening reactions.

Do they think Jesus said it the same way every time or, is it the thought in your soul that counts?

What a pos :face:
An elementary school principal has been charged with aggravated assault by vehicle while DUI after state police say he injured two people in a morning crash.

Matthew Hall, 40, of Hollidaysburg was reportedly driving on W. Loop Road in Blair Township when he crashed into another vehicle just before 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb 8. Troopers say Hall appeared disoriented, had bloodshot eyes and smelled of alcohol.

Hall told police he drank six beers the night prior to the crash. He was subjected to a field sobriety test and then taken to UPMC Altoona where his blood alcohol content was found to be .258% according to police.

Hall is employed as the Claysburg-Kimmel elementary school principal, according to sources. He’s been placed on voluntary 30-day leave.

A man and woman who were in the other vehicle sustained multiple injuries including fractured ribs, facial lacerations and concussions, according to state police.

Hall is facing a slew of charges including DUI, reckless driving, careless driving and causing bodily injury. He was arraigned Wednesday, Feb 23 and released on an unsecured $50,000 bond.

Six beers

Even if he drank all six 90 minutes before the crash and they were all like 8% IPAs I don't think his BAC would be that high.

I just did a quick BAC calculation for a 190 pound guy and it was .22. I would say it's plausible.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) —

Police say an Sigel man is facing drunk driving charges after reportedly operating an Amish horse and buggy in a “reckless manner.”

According to the Brookville Police Department, 20-year-old Ray Byler faces a misdemeanor driving under the influence and was also cited for careless and reckless driving.

Police say they were patrolling the area of Main Street Sunday when they passed an Amish horse and buggy.

Officers noted that they had previously received reports about a horse and buggy driving in a “reckless manner” earlier in the day, but were unable to locate the horse and buggy at that time.

Police say they began following the horse and buggy and watched as it went around a turn and sped up as Byler, who was operating the vehicle, locked the brakes and slid the wheels sending sparks flying.

According to police, officers continued to follow the buggy until Byler pulled over to let the officers pass.

That’s when police say they asked Byler if he was okay and he responded with slurred speech saying he was trying to let the officers go around his buggy.

When police asked Byler if he’d been drinking, they say Byler told them he had a “couple of beers.”

Officers noted that Byler smelled like alcohol so they made him do a field sobriety test.

Byler told police that the horse was skittish so they allowed Byler to remain by the animal’s side until a family member could come care for it while officers took Byler to a local hospital for a blood draw, which they say he refused.

 Students vaping fentanyl?

https://www.wearecentralpa.com/news/loc ... -district/
An investigation is ongoing in Mifflin County after vaping devices containing heroin or fentanyl were confiscated at a local school.

“You know this is alarming, it’s scary it’s one thing, we don’t want anybody vaping,” Mifflin County School District Superintendent Vance Varner said.

Varner sent a letter to K-12 parents about three vaping devices that were confiscated and tested positive for fentanyl or heroin.

MSNBC lady was talking about how this set back sexual assault females even further that their words won't be trusted. Guy came in and slammed her by saying this is a win for people that have this happen to them but don't have the ability to fight it.

Good for Depp, sucks for Heard but her career should be dunzo. Let's all move on with life.

Tasty. I haven't been following that case since it had a click-baity feel to it, but from what little I know that's great.
