according to that article, the Coast Guard says that security footage shows him leaning over the railing and falling
but the phrasing of “this was Ronnie’s first cruise and thankfully he had a great time and made plenty of friends” is pretty odd
like, I can’t imagine writing that after a loved one just died from being on the cruise itself

There was some footage of a Carnival ship coming back into Charleston over the weekend that was hit with that sub-tropical storm that hit us. It looked like absolute misery. I've been on two cruises, and I get why people do them, but between COVID, norovirus, and now pre-hurricane season tropical storms, no thanks. Not to mention the other passengers on board.

Then you are one up on me, chief. For I do not get why people do them.

We just know a lot of people that love doing them - set prices, multiple ports, etc. etc. It just doesn't appeal to me any more. About halfway through our last cruise (in 2013) I told my wife that this was the last one for me (and she had come to that conclusion as well).

"Ooooh, look! We're in [town]. Let's leave the ship for a few hours and buy a fridge magnet with [town]'s name on it."

We enjoy doing cruises. We typically do Disney, who do a fantastic job imo.
4 nights is good enough for me. Don't know how people go away for like a month or so. But to each their own.

I don’t know if I’ll ever do a cruise, but I’m doing a thing with friends, friends of friends and friends of friends of friends where we’re renting a yacht and going along the Croatian coast in August
I guess it’s the yuppie version of a cruise

After doing both cruises and all inclusive resorts, I will not be going back to doing a cruise again. It's the same thing except you're stuck on a floating island with a thousand strangers and the alcohol is not free.

Trump on Hannity tonight for a "town hall meeting" and when he stands up and moves his arms back and forth it looks like he's playing air accordion.

Yup, I have a co-worker that's been sitting at home without power all day because of that.

Man some of the quotes in that article are great. Reminds me of the fake SimCity newspaper articles.

Everything about this picture made me laugh. From the expression on her face and her pointing to the smokestack as if you wouldn't see it otherwise.
