Is it weird that I open my individual serving bags of chips upside down?
To each their own. But isn't it a little tougher to open that end of the package? And I'd imagine that all the salty goodness is at that end of the package anyway.
What do you think rhubarb tastes like raw?
Never had it in its 'processed' form (example: pie) so I'd imagine it tastes like any other root item. Anyone wanna volunteer to try it out and advise the group?

Will any golfer reach ten majors in our lifetimes? I look at guys like Rory and am doubtful, even with Koepka's success.

Living in Florida...best two things, worst three things?

For someone who likes to get after it at night, would you advise that person to live in Orlando or Tampa?

Tiger is in our lifetime. :D

Oh, you meant ANOTHER golfer. Koepka and Rory both have 4 so they're certainly a lot closer. One would think DJ would have more than his 1 by now but he'll be 35 a few days after the US Open so he's really behind the pace for it. If Brooks and Rory don't do it, I don't think we'll see it.

Best:
-The weather from November thru April
-Having a beach within an hour's drive

Worst:
-Everything's a chain. It's very rare to find a good mom-and-pop restaurant, especially Italian. You know how in PA/NY/Jersey, you can find hole-in-the-wall pizza places that don't look like much from the outside but have some of the best food? None of that here.
-Tourists getting in and out of Orlando's airport. That thing's designed incredibly poorly and it's painful to have it as my 'home' airport.
-I-4 construction...better know your back roads if you're trying to get anywhere around here sometimes, especially during the afternoon rush hour.

Mass Comm with concentration in broadcast journalism. Worked on both campus TV and radio stations during my time there. It's a great location given it's right outside a major city but yet it has its own little nightlife and for me, it worked out great for my career because it had plenty of internship opportunities with TV stations in town. It also helped that it was a quick 80-minute drive home so I could still hit Penn State games in the fall.

Actually, no. I worked 4 years on the in-studio college basketball show at ESPN which got me trips to the Final Four from 2000-03. I thought that specializing on one sport would get pretty boring but now that I've been here and with help from the Comcast/NBC influence, it certainly hasn't been a bore. The reason I got into TV in the first place was because I thought it was the easiest way to work in sports. Turns out that I was right about that.

Don't own a mower. I have a townhouse and the HOA handles the front landscaping and my fenced-in 'backyard' area consists of a couple of small trees, hedges, and wood chips on the ground which someday I'd love to turn into a putting green.

You need to go to the east coast to find all the NY Italians living there.

I'll be in Minneapolis that week so hopefully celebrating a Twins sweep of the Red Socks and going to at least 1, maybe 2, of the games.

Don't really have a preference. I think we all have learned about each other's uniqueness through the different posts on game nights as well as all over the off-topic threads. Might be most interesting to find out more about @Blue Canary

Yeah, I really only get over there for the sands of Cocoa Beach. I don't hang around much past that. I have noticed some Italian joints on A1A so perhaps I can make time for one of them.

Give me your number one production improvement for hockey telecasts on NBC(SN)?

What's more important to golf broadcasts going forward: Attracting newer/younger viewers and other untapped demographics? Getting a stranglehold/improving its product to its specific, targeted demographic?

#1 improvement...hmmmmm...I **HATE** the cablecam that they constantly use at the outdoor games. I've turned games off because they use that thing too much. If I was at a game and saw an opportunity, I'd cut the damn wire. I think it would be best if they just gave us 2 announcers at all times -- PBP in the booth and an on-ice guy to give us analysis and what's going on between the benches. This business of 3 and even 4 voices during the playoffs is way too much and I think it takes away from each analyst's ability to break things down.

We're trying to go younger. We already have the established demographic. The Thursday/Friday streaming option with featured group is intended to try to get new eyes on the product because it can be viewed on a device and not just on a television. The slippery part is that our older demographic isn't as in tune with technology so we risk alienating them by putting too much on a digital platform. But that demographic is getting smaller so we need to be able to attract the younger fan that gets all pepped up when they go to an event.

I'm too trusting of people. It's gotten me into a touch of trouble in the past so it's led me to have a more jaded look at things, even those involving people I call friends.
