This was an interesting read on Watterson. It always made me sad that C&H didn't turn into something more/continue on into eternity, but this book helps explain why.

If this is just turns into a thread where people post their favorite C&H strips, I'm all for it.

Man, I have fond memories of reading the big anthologies as a kid. Our local library used to have them all and I probably checked each one out a half dozen times.

I own all the big anthologies, which means every strip ever printed, even a couple that never made it.
The Netflix special is moving.
My favorite:

I have the Complete Works of Calvin and Hobbes set, as well as all the paperback anthologies. Still one of my very favorite strips.

Awe man... All the feels.
This one is one of my favorites because I didn't get it the first time I saw it. It was way later reading back thru the anthology that the light bulb went off.........

I love how he and Gary Larson just peaced out at the top of their collective games.

"The Sinister Icy Black Hand of Death" is an awesome name for a club.

Also for a band that doesn't want to be taken too seriously.

I could definitely see it being the name for a metal band.

The snowmen are one of my favorite repeated C+H themes.
I know Watterson's recluse nature has been well-documented, but the time since the last C+H strip makes it seem like he should be so much older than he actually is. I was shocked that he just turned 60.

Rewatching again, this time with my wife. Still good.
Available with your Amazon Prime membership, too. Assuming we're talking about the same one (Dear Mr. Watterson).
