So EpIX is available on home video now. I'm watching the BTS stuff, and just learned that the set decoration for John Williams' cameo was loaded with references to each of the maestro's 51 Oscar nominated scores. That is stupendous.

Could the Ahsoka cameo on the Mandalorian next season lead to an Ahsoka spinoff?

I can't read that since I refuse to sign-up/turn off my adblocker, but I'm really excited to see Rosario Dawson in the Star Wars universe. I don't know much about Ahsoka, though, since I haven't watched Clone Wars. Maybe that's something I should be doing during the quarantine...

Ahsoka is a great character. As the story notes, she has more canonical screen time than anyone not name Skywalker or Kenobi.

What I'm equally interested in is the final scene of Star Ware Rebels takes place roughly in line with time period of The Mandalorian. So that not only means Ahsoka Tano, it also means Sabine Wren (a Mandalorian)..... who was the last known person to wield the Dark Saber before Gus Fring showed up with it in the last Chapter of Mando Se1.

Yes, to watching Clone Wars. There was a few "best of" lists of episodes to watch to get caught up to the newest season, as the show has a lot of filler episodes.

And I wasn't prompted for any password on that article.

I don't care much about "maybe in the future" shows, I just want Disney+ to put out the shows that they had already planned before launching the service.

You got a link to one these lists?

This is one: https://www.polygon.com/2020/2/20/21144 ... e-season-7

Seems like a good list, although there are more than 20 good episodes to watch.

Thanks. Part me thinks I should just watch them all. It's not like I don't have time... Is it worth it?

I'm still in the first season, but I am finding Clone Wars difficult to watch.

I don't think I could watch them straight through again, to be honest. I watched most of them the first time through with my kids, who were much younger when it was airing live. I think it was the first show we all watched together though.

If you have time, go for it! They are only 20+ minutes long or so. Definitely some great characters in it, and some have shown up in Rogue One and Han Solo (iirc).

Rise of Skywalker is coming to Disney+ on May 4th. I haven't watched it yet as part of my series re-watch because I didn't want to watch a shitty bootleg. We'll see if my initial review of "eh it was fine" holds up.

I have zero interest in watching it, and I vaguely enjoyed it in the theaters. Maybe to find Ricky Gervais' co-star from After Life? Sandy is in it. <shrugs>

I binged the entire show like 3 years ago and loved it.

May the fourth..... nice........

As I was sitting in the theater watching it, I was like, "Meh.... it's not a really good ending for 9 movies, but it's an okay ending for these last 3." As more and more time passed after that viewing, I settled on two conclusions: 1) That initial assessment was seriously generous; and 2) given that since they first began working on the new stories in 2013 they were planning on this movie being centered on Leia, and that Carrie died after this story was well into development, I'm not sure what they could've done to make it much better. In retrospect, I think maybe they would've been well-served deferring the movie by a year to really make sure they got it right.

Yeah Carrie Fisher's death really hurt Rise of Skywalker. Even if Carrie had lived, the sudden return of Palpatine still wouldn't make sense. All they had to do was have a line or two planting that seed in TLS or TFA. As is, it feels like a Hail Mary after TLS failed.

The thing that really kills me about all of that is that according to both JJA and KK there were discussions about Palpatine returning as far back as the screenwriting process for Ep VII. Not necessarily for that specific film, but just "Sheev was the Big Bad in both earlier trilogies, so it would be weirder if he didn't play some role in our films."

Just such a s**t show. Look at what happened between December 2016 and January 2017, behind the scenes, and then remember that as of mid-summer 2018 Lucasfilm was saying Leia would not be in EpIX at all.
