If Ewoks are apparently hated now for being too cutesy and only existing to sell toys, what does that make Porg?

I'll reserve judgement of course, but this is the first thing I've seen from Last Jedi that gives me pause. Or in the words of the great Jar Jar Binks: "That smells stinkerwhiff."

I don't get the backlash against Ewoks. I would like to remind everyone that they were going to cook and eat the heroes. Ewoks are kinda badass.

I also like Ewoks. But there is a large portion of the fan base that hates them.
