Star Wars discussion (SPOILERS INCLUDED)

So #SoloAStarWarsStory is fun fan service cinema that made me smile a bunch & flap my fanboy fins! Han meeting Chewie is a secret origin scene a lifelong @starwars enthusiast like me never dreamed I’d ever get to see and it was beautiful! Congrats to the Kasdens & @RealRonHoward!

I’m a fan of Kevin Smith, but nobody should ever trust his Star Wars reviews. This dude also once said that Phantom Menace is right there next to Empire.

I really enjoyed his reviews of Rogue One and TLJ, but I don't know if I've ever seen his comments regarding TFA.

The 79% for ROTS is a product of the two movies that came before it.

Why does Solo look like Ray Liotta circa Goodfellas?

That Last Jedi is at 91% is mindboggling.

Agreed. It should be at least 93%.

I don't really agree with the "ranking" here. I'd definitely put Ep1 above Ep2. And to say TFA and ANH are even is outrageous. Of course, we all know Rotten Tomato scores are nonsense.

RT scores aren't nonsense. It's just the percentage of positive reviews.

ANH: 8.6/10
ESB: 8.9/10
ROTJ: 7.2/10
TPM: 6/10
AOTC: 6.7/10
ROTS: 7.3/10
TFA: 8.2/10
RO: 7.5/10
TLJ: 8.1/10
Solo: 6.5/10

Based on average score that would put the series as: ESB, ANH, TFA, TLJ, RO, ROTS, ROTJ, AOTC, Solo, TPM, which is definitely nonsense because the ranking should clearly be RO, ESB, ANH, TLJ, ROTJ, TFA, ROTS, TPM, AOTC, with the assumption that there's zero chance in hell that Solo will be worse than TPM or AOTC.

Also, Freddy's opinions on TLJ remain as terrible as MR's opinions on Ryan Reaves.

I know what RT scores are. Judging movies based off of RT scores is nonsense.

I'm shocked Rogue One wasn't higher. That one was probably my third favorite behind Empire and ANH.

It is my outright #1.

RO
ESB
TLJ
TFA/ANH
ROTJ

And then the three that shall not be named in whatever order suits your mood. I'm going in with the expectation that Solo will be in the VII/VI - VI range.

By all outward appearances, Freddy seems to have actually seen Star Trek VIII, not Star Wars VIII.

I'm not a big TLJ fan. It was good, don't get me wrong. Probably somewhere in the ROTJ realm for me. Middle of the pack.
