I like the art style, but it feels a little too kiddie-oriented.

Meriadoc Brandybuck has been added to the cast of Ep IX.

And with every passing day, I am reaffirmed in my belief that the worst thing about Star Wars is Star Wars 'fans'. I'm willing to put a fiver down that a majority of those 81k downvotes put their names to the petition to remove TLJ from canon.

I really don’t care for that trailer, but like the other Star Wars cartoons that I don’t care for, I’m glad that they exist and the fans who do care for them are able to watch and enjoy.

I don't know, I've been binge-watching Adam Savage/Tested videos lately. They're pretty fun.

I haven't had a chance to watch it yet, but if I have to hear people nitpick about TLJ, at least Plinkett will probably do it in an entertaining way. I'm fully expecting to disagree with most of the video.

Yeah, that's an awfully broad rule of thumb. That means you're missing out on Adam Savage, Tom Scott, Captain Disillusion, Kurzgesagt, and a ton others. If you're only finding annoying/bad YouTubers, you're not looking in the right place.

I finally watched TLJ over the weekend... I really enjoyed it. By far the best movie since the original trilogy.

I'm not a huge SW guy, but typically enjoy the movies for fun/entertainment purposes.

In that regard, this delivered in spades for me.

It gets a :thumb: from me.

Well, to be fair, I really don't watch YouTube for those sorts of things. The ones I have caught just left a bad taste. I probably would enjoy some of the content if I knew more about it.

I do occasionally watch FudgeMuppet stuff for Fallout and Skyrim build ideas.

So far, the criticisms just amount to "Why didn't _____ do _____ instead!?" I don't find that to be a valid criticism of any movie or character. Just because you don't agree with the character's decision making doesn't mean the story is flawed, it means the characters are flawed. Which makes them interesting. If every character made the correct decision every single time, there would be no conflict.

Well, there are certain times when that sort of criticism is valid and a totally accurate description of the entire movie. Like, for example, Prometheus. To paraphrase Adam Savage's review, if you didn't already think that was a terrible movie, you can ruin it by simply asking yourself 'why did anyone do anything?'
